You can’t sneak under the radar with High Court murder cases. Do you realise how much scrutiny is applied before during and after these cases. There already has been a full appeal denied to Gilroy, where the dogs alerts were not even grounds for the appeal. And you still don’t understand what I posted about the judiciary as a whole having no issue with the 2 cases that have ended with safe convictions for the accused.

Do you think the convictions in the Fleming case are safe? The dog didn't find any identifiable human bones, only fish & deer bones.

The jury found them guilty and there doesn't seem to be any reason for a retrial that I can see. There were no procedural errors. A body of circumstantial evidence can easily persuade a jury. Do you think they din't kill her?

 Not at all. I really would like to read it to see the criteria that was used to reach the decision. But I do agree with you it does not carry any legal weight whatsoever.

I think any conviction without a body & confession is potentially unsafe. It's hard to know what to think in the Fleming case, based on the lack of people who cared about Margaret's well-being.

It could be potentially unsafe I agree. Cairney has already served notice to appeal so we have to wait and see. All the evidence was circumstantial but I would be surprised if they (or he) didn't kill her 20 odd years ago.
But as you say for nearly 20 years nobody took any interest in Margaret Fleming. Such a shame.
