The whole thing is extremely complicated with various IRA factions warring, the intervention of everyone from Clinton, to Blair, to Noraid, to Gadaffi of all people. Plus, there's still a school of thought that McKevitt himself was an MI5 operative and possibly even Daly.
Terrible times and an horrific account.

It's quite obvious your sole aim here is to try and show the alerts are something they are not.  Grime said they needed to be confirmed with forensic evidence. They weren't.

Swab 3a was confirmatory forensic evidence. We know it contained human DNA. The fact that both dogs alerted suggest the source was human blood.
