“Sense of ‘ownership’

When they finally commit a crime, it’s like they have a sense of ownership. It’s an accomplishment and they feel so good about what they’ve done that they have to keep it going, like some athlete in his 40s who’s always pulling out an old scrapbook.

Many of us get trophies for our accomplishments. For killers, taking souvenirs extends the fantasy into that realm. My accomplishment may be solving a case. I get a plaque or some kudos; their accomplishment is perpetrating a crime. I get to put the plaque up on the wall of my den. They get to take something from the victim to give to the girlfriend, or put up in the attic.

It’s surprising how many killers return not just to the gravesite but to the scene of the crime. And some killers — the more organized or premeditated type — sometimes even inject themselves into the police investigation to provide bogus information. They do it for different reasons. They may want to find out where the investigation is headed or look for cues that it’s progressing along nicely because, naturally, they’re concerned about that.

Strange isn’t it, that Bamber sent Trudie to June and Nevill’s grave to read that sick letter.....

Why would he have wanted her to film it, and put such a private thing up for everyone to see?

He got a kick seeing their gravestones....and also tried to look like a grieving son to his oddballs.

Who is this David Hender,  Nicholas?

Was he in prison with JB?

Never heard of him until the link was posted

Hender certainly likes washing his dirty underpants in public.  Yet more crap...

Wouldn't be surprised in the least if this originated in HMP Full Sutton.

“Between crimes — often while targeting future victims — they’ll pull out their trophies and just sit back in their La-Z Boy chairs and relive the crime over and over in their minds.

What’s interesting is that they often give the souvenir — particularly jewelry — to a family member or significant other. The recipient could be the wife or a girlfriend who was causing the subject grief at the time of the crime or was involved in a confrontation with him”

Would be interested to know if Aunt Agatha was ever involved in ‘a confrontation with’ Bamber

Am guessing the answer is yes & it’s why they are no longer in direct contact ?

They definitely fell out....though I’ve no idea why

What you’ve put above is Jeremy Bamber to a tee!

It’s startling!

No, not if he wasn’t a heroin addict, Nicholas

’Psychopathic traits modulate brain responses to drug cues in incarcerated offenders’
“Recent neuroscientific evidence indicates that psychopathy is associated with abnormal function and structure in limbic and paralimbic areas. Psychopathy and substance use disorders are highly comorbid, but clinical experience suggests that psychopaths abuse drugs for different reasons than non-psychopaths, and that psychopaths do not typically experience withdrawal and craving upon becoming incarcerated. These neurobiological abnormalities may be related to psychopaths' different motivations for—and symptoms of—drug use.

When I say a box, neither a watch box or granny's box, just a box along with other stuff. I never wrapped it, covered it etc, I put it away in the loft and it stayed there for years.

You already have all this info. Read posts carefully and you might come to the correct conclusion.  Fake info will give a fake result!!

It clearly wasn't ever intended as a private thing. It might have been more convincing if he hadn't bleated on about his innocence and what a top chap he is all thanks to them..and his own brilliance.

Perhaps it was a test of loyalty, I think even a few of the loons reached for the sick bag. The ones that are left obviously have no problem with it and didn't feel their intelligence was insulted at all, making them perfect for spreading the gospel of innocent Jem and passing round the collection plate.

They're a fine collection of well reasoned and knowledgeable people. Someone on Youtube told me they include a human rights barrister, a magistrate and an actress.. which immediately made me think he was innocent after all... plus Michelle Diskin Bates who has God on her side and Michael O'Brien who is so clever he has a law degree and doesn't need to use punctuation *%87

Not sure...but I know of the gangs in NZ and they’re not to be messed with.

They wouldn’t bother giving Bamber a packet of flour — they’d just to tell him to F*** O** after he handed the money over. He ran off...he didn’t mess with them! lol

“Wednesday 4 September 1985 – Jeremy took Julie to a café close to Sheila’s apartment shortly before 4pm and gave her a cheque for £400 to pay for a holiday with Liz Rimmington[6]. He then discussed their relationship, and after his arrest Julie banked this cheque along with another from Jeremy. On returning to Sheila’s apartment, Jeremy received a telephone call from another girl he’d been seeing called Virginia Greaves. In fury, Julie ran into the bedroom, picked up a wooden Chinese trick box that belonged to Jeremy and threw it into a mirror, smashing it into pieces. Brett Collins also witnessed this from the next room in the apartment.[/i]

Occasionally choking on her words, she told the court about the night at Caterham Road, when she had begged him to remain with her, and the angry confrontation at Sheila’s flat when she discovered that Jeremy had begun dating a former girlfriend,”

Anji wasn’t a ‘former girlfriend’ but Bamber allowed JM to think that by the way this reads

Who’s JM meant to be referring to here?

Occasionally choking on her words, she told the court about the night at Caterham Road, when she had begged him to remain with her, and the angry confrontation at Sheila’s flat when she discovered that Jeremy had begun dating a former girlfriend,”

The former girlfriend was Virginia Greaves, he had seen her not long after his relationship with SF ended. Anji got to know him after he visited Virginia. Possibly Virginia wasn't that into him.

It wasn’t. If you read this back it was Anji but JM appears to have wrongly believed it to have been Virginia ?
