Hello everyone,
Summer will soon be here, and with it we hope to have some extremely positive news. In the meantime, I thought I should give you an update as far as I can on what has been happening in the last few months.
People comment to me: “What’s happening? It’s all gone quiet”. Maybe on the surface it would appear this way but, in reality we have been extremely busy, and although in some instances I cannot be specific, I can give you an idea of the things that have been and are happening.
Firstly, in February Trudi and Philip attended the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in London on miscarriages of Justice which was both interesting and informative. In March Trudi, Philip and I attended the Innovation of Justice a conference held at Cardiff University. This event was packed to the rafters with people affected by non-disclosure, and some familiar faces and friends of Jeremy’s attended. It was great to have a catch-up and gather lots of news, as well as many messages of support and best wishes that we were then able to give to Jeremy. Strategies were discussed on what we can do in the future to stop non-disclosure creating miscarriages of justice cases. Trudi, Philip and I were asked if we would like a stand where we could display case documents and brochures, and it proved to be extremely popular. Their next conference is in London on 22ndJune and Philip will be attending.
More of these events will be taking place in the coming months, including the United Against Injustice Conference in Liverpool on 12thOctober where Trudi will be speaking about Jeremy’s case. Watch this space for announcements of dates, times and places of other future events. It would be great to meet with as many of Jeremy’s supporters as possible, and we are sure you would gain a lot of insight from attending these events. We are very approachable and would be able to have a chat and answer any questions that you may have.
Philip has been very proactive in his efforts to organise an APPG regarding disclosure in Jeremy’s case, and a number of MP’s have shown an interest, and this will be organised as soon as possible.
I have been busy with my team of forensics experts, and we have brand new reports in place for the CCRC submissions. We also have reports pending, and some that should be commissioned within a few weeks regarding fresh evidence that has been uncovered recently. Please keep donating if you can, because the more reports we can present to the CCRC in support of our evidence the better.
https://www.jeremy-bamber.co.uk/donateThe legal team are extremely active in their dialogue with the CPS, and I can say that things are moving in the right direction. We hope to have news updates for you very soon.
People also ask regularly how Jeremy is. I visited him last week with Philip, and I can tell you that he looks really well, is upbeat and excited at what the next few months hold. He asked us to express his gratitude to everyone who supports him, as you all help him stay focused on achieving justice.
Jeremy is still working hard on his case every day as always, and we are still uncovering fresh evidence from the documents Essex Police have disclosed, even though I am confident that we have now achieved the truth of every single issue surrounding the case. However, that’s not good enough for us, and we will not rest until we have all of the case documents, because we need to have the complete picture. We want to know what else Essex Police are hiding from us, and we know what is missing including witness statements, messages, photographs, reports and forensic documents to name a few. Our team will keep pushing to obtain these documents, so please, if you haven’t’ already done so, sign the petition here.
And contact your MP to ask for their support in achieving disclosure through joining our APPG.
