How was Charles Marsden ‘at pains to insist that he hadn’t taken part in the sex session’

And why has Roger Wilkes chosen to refer to this incident as a ‘sex session’ when it appears apparent from Sarah’s evidence it was nothing of the sort ?!?

I’ve not read Roger Wilkes book either but this snippet appears to me to both bias and misogynistic

If you can speculate about Bamber's motives I can speculate about the girl's motives. She wouldn't be the first to sleep with someone else's boyfriend or the first to realise that she was just a one-night stand.

I think a reasonable number of women found him attractive judging by how many slept with him.

I think — and this probably won’t go down well — but most women who have a first night stand aren’t picky...and they either have low self-esteem, or are drunk out their heads or stones to the eyeballs.

So just because JB was able to pull women for a ONS, it doesn’t mean they were classy; looked like supermodels...and he never saw then again (nor they him) so they couldn’t have been that attracted to each other. Had any of those girls really fancied him, they’d have made him wait. They wouldn’t want to look like some cheap easy lay. And if had fancied them he wouldn’t have come onto them immediately...

Sounds more like “any port in a storm”

And I’ve already stated I don’t always agree with CAL’s interpretation

For example, CAL referred to Sarah as Julie’s ‘friend’ but Julie referred to Sarah as ‘an associate of Charles Marsden’

Sarah may have referred to Julie as a ‘friend’ in her witness statement and this may be why CAL stated what she did but I’ve seen no evidence from Julie’s evidence that her and Sarah were ‘friends’ per se plus Julie made it clear Bamber had told her to keep away from Sarah and said she was ‘neurotic’

I’ve not read CAL’s book and have only read snippets taken from google. She doesn’t appear to have fully explored the Virginia and Anji Greaves story but that may because the information she needed to do so isn’t in the public domain nor contained in or disclosed by police records ?

And I don’t know if CAL touched on or explored the toxic, emotional and psychological abusive relationship Julie had with Bamber - as I see it

Coercive or controlling behaviour wasn’t passed as a crime until 2015 which I think was the year CAL’s book was published?

CAL may not even have recognised this as a feature in this case or she may have recognised it but chose to not write about it and present it from that angle ?

Even if the sex was consensual, as CE claims, surely the fact that he turned up the hotel to watch his mate have sex with the victim then ended up having sex with her himself while being watched from a window by his brother and mates says it all!

What’s interesting is how Holly decides to post a part of Julie’s witness statement where she’s admitted to experimenting with a bit of cocaine in her youth on a thread about Charles Marsden and Bamber and whether or not they had an affair

- Buying cannabis pre JB
- Using, producing and selling cannabis during JB with and without him
- Cheque fraud during JB without him
- Acting as a lookout at OCP during JB with him
