I had a quite vivid dream last night. For a change, this is not a joke.
As usual, can't remember the details, only the shocking bits.
I walked over to some sort of receptacle full of sand / soil and started digging. I quickly uncovered a pair of what I assumed were child's feet sticking up soles first. I recoiled with shock and stepped back. Then this receptacle slowly started to empty downwards like a tube, but it was diaphanous, so I could vaguely see the body churn downwards. I could see the child's face with a look of horror as it passed through the tube and disappeared.

I struggled to get to sleep after that, let me tell you.
Is this clairvoyant? Perhaps it's the embryonic stage of quantum clairvoyance?

Did you recognise the child?   What does diaphanous mean to you.  I was surprised it was in your vocabulary.  I had to look it up.
Would you like me to see if I can be told what the meaning of your dream was?

The sides of the tube were semi-transparent, so I could see the child's face.
I'm going to consult Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams and get back. I think there's a rational explanation.

It is certainly an odd dream.  The thing I was thinking of was the old hourglass where the sand moved through a narrowed tube.  I still like your word "diaphanous", thank you for the new word.

Interesting concept, the old egg timer, like it. Could be linked.
I'm full of totally useless words that nobody uses or even needs to use.
When I was 6 or 7 I read the Oxford English dictionary cover to cover. Riveting read.

You need to read it again.  It's changed somewhat.

Not much of a plot though.

It was rubbish to be honest. I was looking for a big book to hollow the pages out so I could hide stuff in it, but then started reading it instead.
It was the same with Trivial Pursuit. I read all the questions several times, so nobody would play me.

When I was young s*x education was non existent. I tried the dictionary, looking up words which led me to other words, then other words, then back to the first word. I didn't learn a lot from that exercise.

I got all of The Trivial Pursuits questions right first time.  So nobody would play me.

Trivial might be the operative word here.

I see another thread is discussing Hewlett.
"Before he died of cancer in 2010, aged 64, Hewlett denied any involvement - but in a letter from his deathbed to son Wayne he claimed Maddie had been "stolen to order" by a Belgium-based gang."

In my communication with William he talks of arguing with Raymond Hewlett.  I might not have put any emphasis on those bits as we were more focussed on "Stan" at the time.
I found the bits about Hewlett totally weird.  I don't reply or encourage him to talk about Hewlett.

In his first post to me he mentions Hewlett:
"Hi Robert, Around 7 years ago a friend asked me to look into the mccann case. I agreed and i went in blind i.e no previous research. I got 6 weeks of relentless info. There was a lot of stuff i couldn't comprehend and wished there was someone that could. I will tell you the backbone of it. I was looking at her in bed and a tall slender man lifted her from it. I was then at a home . He walked in and passed her to another person(could be 2) He then went into the toilet and took down his trousers. Under them was strange black leggings(i wrote down wet suit bottoms) the sink i noticed was grubby it was covered in men's stubble/hair.. The scene shifted and i was at a port and a family were waiting for a boat and i was picking up on a German accent. In another i was being told of dinner time and an hour before. At no time was i made aware of her death(that doesn't mean she wasn't.) I was profiling a person linked to Germany and didn't know his name. The only person at that time was Raymond hewlet but he didn't agree(that's another story). I was always taken to Lisbon and told the answer lies there. TBC"

The next post where he mentions Hewlett by name (page 8 of 50): "i have sent the story and submitted the photos as well but in a slightly later post. it would be better if they were attached . maybe you could do this . the post takes some believing but i guarantee this 100% happened and by the way i have had many experiences...believe it or not i was attacked by Raymond Hewlett and i got a black eye...i was profiling him unaware of his name...the fool gave it away..."

I had no idea how a spiritual encounter with Ray Hewlett would end up with William getting a black eye!  I was a bit unnerved by that.  I thought for a moment, "is the guy nuts".

The next bit (page 12) is just as bizarre:
"so in bed that night i was woke and i saw a harp on my floor(i forgot to mention he was musically inclined). This startled me because normally i would see this whilst sleeping. Something was quite not right. There was an atmosphere in my room and i sensed evil. I sat up in my bed and the harp vanished. in front of me at the bedstead was an energy that i could only describe as the classic ghost scene. It was white but not solid . it's shape was close to a persons figure but not quite. All of a sudden something grabbed me and made me lean to the floor and pick up a conductors baton. I started to conduct an imaginary orchestra my arm was going faster and faster. I didn't like it and fear entered my mind. I threw it away. Almost immediately i was made to do it again. My covers were off me by this time. M y arm was going faster and faster. I looked at my wife and she was in deep sleep i couldn't waken her -i was powerless. I was panicking and at that moment my guide came to the rescue.I heard them speaking and the entity was to leave. As he was about to leave a hand came out of the ether and

threw a handful of hard boiled sweets at me , still in their wrappers. one hit me on the thigh and it stung. He then threw more and one hit me in the eye socket. That hurt even more. At that point it left and things returned to normal. In the morning i started googling and found out who this entity was -it was Raymond Hewlett. I never knew i was profiling someone who was dead. Was Raymond Hewlett admitting some sort of guilt or was he angry because he's innocent?. I phoned some one about this and told me to visit them the next day , which i did. On arrival they said to me William you have a black eye. I looked in the mirror and there it was -the proof. Believe it or not i turned my bedroom upside down looking for those sweets to no avail.....this happened 7 years ago and i have had many different types of adventures as i call them and has been a fascinating education that i now help people in similar situations but none as extreme as mine, so far. Many people have said to me to write a book about them all but maybe one day."

It would have been sort of compelling of he had come up with all of this unilaterally and without 6 weeks of intense research.
As it is, it's good, because it means Hewlett's in the clear, as it's apparent that Will. I. Am has no special powers.

I have been unable to get correspondence going again with William, but from little that I know I thought the 6 weeks referred to 6 weeks of psychic revelations rather than research on the forums.

I was wondering if William could get Hewlett to tells us something new about the case.

Rob it looks like he's got a decent insight and there's only one way of doing that.
He's gone from guessing, to guessing with conviction based on what he's read. In my earnest, esteemed opinion.

....and yes, if William could get in touch with Hewlett we may be able to crack the case.
Having said that, I suppose he could get in touch with just about any dead person. I suggest Paul Newman. Or Maradona. What about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? He will have a thing or two to say on the matter.
