I agree faithlilly, the jury shouldve been shown the changes in statements. Statements can change but 3 exact changes in 3 entirely different statements is to much of a coincidence imo.
My question is who said the 3 statements had been changed? Is there proof? . My 2nd question which I've asked sandra lean and never got a proper reply. Is what exactly was the dog trained to track?

We were told by Sandra Lean Mitchell asked for something of Jodi’s from a family member to instruct his dog to track Jodi

Excerpt from ‘No Smoke’ by Sandra Lean

Luke would claim that he instructed the dog, which had had some training as a tracker dog to "Seek Jodi, Find Jodi," after asking family members if they had anything of Jodi‟s from which the dog could get a scent.)

When (on what date) and where did Luke Mitchell tell the police he’d allegedly ‘instructed the dog’

And what had the 3 family members said in their witness statements about this by this point?

The question was often asked as to why Mia (Mitchell family trained tracker Alsatian) didn't find Jodi's scent on the first pass as Luke and she walked along the dirt path to meet up with the Jones family?

Surely anyone looking for a missing girlfriend would follow any and all indications given by their tracker dog? And especially so as the V notch in the wall allowed easy access for a young person to climb over.

No, it didn't happen, he walked right past Jodi's body, just feet away and only minutes later supposedly discovered the murder scene with the Jones family in tow. In itself this might not be much but taken with everything else it is damning evidence.

Why did he need something from one of the family members and didn’t he have anything of Jodi’s in his house he could take along with him - as well as the torch

Another lie.

“He could have been out years ago if he had said he was guilty, but he's not going to say he did something he didn't do."

This is untrue.

Luke Mitchell who was Jodi's boyfriend was subsequently convicted of the murder and sentenced to a minimum of 20-years in prison.

He will not be released before 2025.

It was mentioned on the docu, cant remember who the guy was who commented on them but to make a comment I would assume he saw them, if its false then Im sure there will be law suits flying around soon.

Dont know the answer to your 2nd question.

I absolutely agree.

What would have turned the case on its head IMO is if the first statements to the police by certain witnesses had been allowed in court namely those who searched with Luke and agreed in their first statements that Mia had altered to the v in the wall.

As to Shane’s first statement it’s obvious that that it wasn’t to the police’s liking or why would they have charged him with perverting the course of justice. The dropping of that charge just before he gave evidence wasn’t a coincidence and he may have thought that a perjury charge may follow if he didn’t give the prosecution what they wanted. His last sentence when giving evidence suggests he wasn’t comfortable with what he was saying when he said that Luke could have been in the house.

You're like a dog with a bone. It doesn't cut any mustard with me though.

Two boys in a small house and one doesn't know the other is there. Banging around in a kitchen, playing music, making phone calls. Pull the other one Faith, it's got bells on.

Luke lied and if the conviction is sound his mother lied too.  No wonder her home and business were targeted.

You do remember Mr McCafferty?  The man who died from carbon monoxide poisoning after Corinne Mitchell sold his daughter a caravan with a blocked flu?  She was sued by Mrs McCafferty for £¼ million. Is that why she had to sell the house and live in the office at Scott's Caravans?

From info Ive read Luke wasnt looking for Jodi when he was on his way to her house. He was making his way there to help her mum phone around friends, he didnt know there was a search party until he met them at the end of the path? So might not have noticed any reaction from the dog like pulling towards the wall or what ever, he mightve wanted to get over there as quickly as possible, its been said that it was someone elses suggestion to go back down the path, someone out of the search group?

Possibly. But if he texted her saying he was cooking dinner then how would he know she would be where he wanted her to be, because he would be in the house cooking dinner? Also says in the appeal that no exact time was arranged by text for them to meet, so how would he know what time she would come down the path? For it being "pre-planned" it doesnt seem like a very good plan to me.
From a recent newspaper article

“At 1635 on Monday 30th June 2003 Jodi  used her mother’s mobile phone to send a text message to Mitchell who responded at 1636. A further text was sent by Jodi to him at 1638 but the content of these messages was never discovered.

Jodi left her house at about 1650, informing her mother that she was going to meet Mitchell and would be “mucking about up here”, suggesting that the previous texts were an arrangement to meet up.

Four minutes later Mitchell’s mobile called the speaking clock inferring that he was out of his house”.

“Mia training was being conducted by a highly skilled ex-military dog trainer with 25 years experience. He would later describe mias natural tracking ability as exceptional. He was never called to give evidence at the trial” but doesn’t say what specifically she was being trained for.

I believe Sandra has all or most of the statements related to the case, most of the info comes from her so we only have her word for this but I don’t see why she would lie, it would cause more trouble than it’s worth. I think she did use to post copies of stuff on an old website years ago (since closed down) but I can’t remember now if she posted them or just bits from it

with all due respect that is out of a newspaper article, the appeal transcripts says differently

When did this happen and which family member did Mitchell ask for something of Jodi’s - when they were on the path? Would they have thought to bring something of Jodi’s along with them do you think?

No.  They weren't looking for a body remember.  They thought she might have fallen and hurt herself and that is why the search began on the path leading to Newbattle.

 @)(++(*

She lied in her thesis

She lied about the exposure of Simon Halls guilt and subsequent confession

Suspect she’s still telling anyone who will listen - ‘things don’t add up’

She lied about the ‘typo’ in her book - it wasn’t a typo - it was her then misunderstanding of the facts of the case
