I was referring to what the two accompanying him said in their first statement re: the dog sniffing the air (apparently corroborating Mitchell's statement) versus their second statement when they make no mention of this - is this true or not?

I’d like to see what Luke Mitchell’s statements say to police first - then I’ll be able to comment on the why their statements may have changed

It’s true people’s recollection of events change yes - especially after or during periods of shock/trauma

I’m from Edinburgh and remember the news at the time had most of us believing he was guilty way before the trial began, I’m not sure how a trial in Edinburgh could ever have been a fair one.
I went from a firm believer of his guilt to being in shock how anyone, let alone a 15 year old boy imo could be found guilty on the evidence they had.

From what I can see it all comes down to 2 possible sightings one at the top of the lane before the murder and one at the bottom of the lane.
Luke and his dog finding the body
Not believing Luke was home with his mum
His brother not being sure if Luke was home
His mum destroying his clothing but I believe there is no evidence of this other than reports of a funny smell, no forensic findings in the wood burner or the home.
His love of Manson and the black dahlia paintings but again no evidence, I think I read he had a cd he got free in a magazine?

I’m not sure what else, certainly no damning evidence. Murderer weapon not found, no blood on Luke or in his house or the wood burner, all places you would expect to find some sort off trace evidence. No motive, but he did have the means as he had a knife, as did hundreds of others. It’s the opportunity that’s strange too, the timings just don’t seem to fit for me. If Jodi was killed at 5.15 ( the time the moped was seen at the v) and If I remember correct, luke was seen at the end of his street by someone he knows before 6pm, around 5.50 I think. So that leave just over 30 mins to fight, struggle, strip, tie up Jodi, and carry out all the injuries and murder, then get home, clean up, change and be seen at the end of his street.  Just doesn’t seem like much time or opportunity. To me.

Forensic testing has came on leaps and bounds in the past 20 years, hopefully they can get the independent review and see if there is anything new found.

Did you sit through the entire trial?

Did Luke or his mother destroy anything after Jodi’s murder that could have suggested links to Marilyn Manson, satanism etc?

What about the indirect evidence?

Didn’t Corrine tell James English Jodi’s sister had everything on Manson ?

Did Luke ever go through Janine’s collection - in the 5 month lead up to the murder - and how did Corrine know about Janine’s collection?

FWIW I felt that Corinne came across in the programme as utterly sincere and truthful.  Of course she could be completely self-deluded and in denial but that's not how she came across to me.

Do you think Corrine could have been coached before being filmed ?

The actions of those two cops and Scott Forbes most definitely appeared to have been scripted and I’m not alone on this observation

No I didn’t, like I said I due to the papers I thought he was guilty, no doubt, til I started reading into in and asking question. I want him to be guilty but the more I heard the more I was in doubt. I’ve been asking for years for someone to give me something, anything that would make it beyond reasonable doubt for me but so far it’s all hear say. I’m not convinced so what harm can an independent review do, why are you do against it? Is it just down to cost? Maybe after the independent review it will be clear for all to see that it was Luke.

So Jodi's Sister liked Manson and Luke is responsible for that too? You really are something else. I think your problem is the people who have spoken up for Luke less the facts of the case or any new evidence that could possibly be put forward

If Mitchell was fascinated by the Black Dahlia murder then what is the actual link between Jodi's injuries and that case, because I'm not really seeing the similarities...

Coached in what way?  I didn't think she sounded scripted, like I say she seemed quite genuine to me.

Can i just ask are you an 'expert' on everything? you presume an awful lot from haircuts to music and now how someone was 'coached'

Not like you know how Corrine normally speaks is it?

Would love to read the rule book for how to react once a young girl has been killed because its very enlightening clearly
