I think you are totally mistaken. Just because the dogs have a 90%+ rate at detecting cadaver in test conditions does not translate to such a success rate in the field. good to see you were posting your opinion as fact....i noticed that straight away. it seems a certain mod didnt.

Why did the dogs only alert to items McCann...simple...and its nothing to do with cadaver odour.. its time.

Opinion.

Eddie totally ignored the McCann car and was callled back 3 times...watch the video. he was not called bvack to any other car. according to the file as recorded by the PJ...the same thing happened in the apartment.

That isn't suspicious unless you have evidence that the way Grime interacted with the dog was unusual.

Im not suggesting Grime is a fake....im just stating facts.

Talking of science theres a recent study from the University of california re false alerts. It says taht teh dogs are so sensitive they can pick up body language from their handler so perhaps it was Grime who was excited going into 5 a and eddie picked up on this. It says the handlers are totally unaware of cuing their dogs.

Speculation

re the time taken for eddie to alert.....there is talk of dogs scenting passengers for covid at airports. it says the dogs are accurate and two dogs can handle 300 persons in under 3o minutes.. That flies in the face of the time eddie spent searching before alerting.

Irrelevant; different aims and scenarios.

You and others think i trash the dogs...not true.  Gunit posted an ACPO pdf re detection dogs. it talked of victim recovery....and not one word about remnant scent. The job of these dogs is to search for bodies and body parts.

ACPO are aware of cross contamination as was Grime.

It seems to me it was Harrison and grime in 2005 who decuded that the dogs could be used as intelligence in murder and abduction cases.Nothing wrong with pushing their own agenda ...perhaps that too is unconcious.

Opinion and casting aspersions.

so my aim is not to trash the dogs....but get to the truth about what happened to Maddie...quite a laudible aim and nothing wrong with challenging evidence taht took the initial investigation totally in the wrong direction...

final thought...the job of the dogs is to help recover evidence...posters need to remember that. The fact is the dogs found nothing of any use

I think that your opnions affect the way you view Harrison, Grime and the dog alerts. Your criticisms are mostly opinion based imo.

In between which checks? And how did they force the shutters open without forcing them open? It was stated they had been opened from the inside in the normal way.... This prompted Kate to remark on a "red herring" as best I recall.

The mccanns thought they eere security shuttersand thought they would hsve to be forced.. Or jemmied up... To open
They eere wrong... The shutters could be easily opened from the outside

Your post is your opinion... Nothing more as you admit.
My posts contain in facts.. Eddie called back to the car three times... The PJ surprised that eddie was similarly called back sevetal times in the apartment . Grime trying to start his cadaver business.. Etc etc.
If the alerts are accurate... The mccanns are guilty.. But they arent. If it does turn out Wolters has proof mafdie did not die in the apartment I wonder what Grimes explanation wil be

If Eddie was called back to certain areas it was done because the handler deemed it necessary. Your OPINION of why he did that needs supporting evidence if you wish it to be believed.

Are you now trying to cast aspersions on Grime's motives again? Then you will need evidence that his behaviour was connected to his retirement plans.

The shutters don't remain in the up position if lifted from the outside.... And then you come to the door handle - how does the abducter force the window from the outside without leaving evidence of a break in?

So did an accomplice lift the shutters before Kate's check? Was this accomplice still holding the shutters open during Kate's check? That's just not plausible imo.

It has been demonstrated that it is possible to lift the shutter from outside and if the window is unlocked it’s possibe to slide it open, then reach in and secure the shutter open with the pulley cord.  So not implausible and imo can’t be ruled out.

It seems the window was closed but not locked. Heri has shown how the easy it was to rreach in and pull the chain to keep the shutters up. As I recall other apts had been burgled by a similar method. All this has been discussed and shown to be possible

I don't think the McCanns gave the shutters a thought, why would they? On the subject of leaving her three small children home alone Mrs McCann said;

"If I'd had to think for one second about it, it wouldn't have happened. I never even had to think like that, to make the decision. It felt so safe that I didn't even have to - I mean, I don't think we took a risk.

Why would the couple think about shutters, when their decision wasn't given any thought at all? Apparently if something feels safe, it is safe.

According to Fiona Payne, of course, she didn't find the decision to leave the patio doors unlocked quite so easy to make, but that's never been publicly discussed.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make but don’t see how any of it rules out stranger abduction from the apartment.

It’s interesting to note that Apartment 5 A now has metal grills on all its shuttered windows, were they put there simply to keep Peter Mac out?

Thats a very interesting point. Why would anyone go to such expense unless the shutters and windows were a security risk
