We don't know why Eddie alerted to the spot where JAR/6 was found, although it appears that the scent which triggered his alert had adhered to the exhibit. Decisions were taken about what happened next, but not by Grime. I think wrong decisions were made, but attempts to lay responsibility at Grime's door are a step too far.

It wasn't Grime's job to assess evidence. The 'evidence' you use; such as "calling Eddie back" isn't actually evidence. It's just something you've observed and decided to name evidence imo.
