I admit, I've always found brazen stupidity quite annoying.
I think there has to be an element of trust in investigative authorities which are properly trained, scrutinised and accountable.
I think there is reason to suspect that without the international attention Madeleine McCann's abduction received that her parents would have been subject to a miscarriage of justice
The manifest stupidity of that time in 2007 can nowhere be exemplified better than in the protest of the corrupt cop still playing his role of bad cop v bad cop in the smears still being levelled by him at Madeleine's parents.
I don't know what Brueckner was up to in 2007. I don't know what Amaral knows about what Brueckner was up to in 2007. Although it does intrigue me why he came out with all guns blazing in Brueckner's defence still slurring the parents.
Suffice it to say, I do believe the evidence painfully gathered over a period of years against Brueckner deserves to have its day of being heard in court.
I believe that is the aim of all concerned with justice. And I must confess to utter bemusement at the displays of utter stupidity regarding the case of a missing child simply because she is who she is.
