Or there again maybe not. Dated Oct 2022.

The Federal Criminal Police Office and the Braunschweig public prosecutor ask for your help:

Can you provide information on the vehicles used by the suspect, or did you see them at the beginning of May 2007, or do you know where they were parked during the period mentioned?
Can you provide information on the phone numbers mentioned and their users in May 2007?
Can you provide information about the houses, rooms or other points of interest shown?
Were you in the Algarve at the beginning of May 2007 and do you still have any photo material such as vacation photos or videos?
Were you in contact with a person who was connected to the vehicles, buildings and telephone numbers shown and can you provide information on their whereabouts at the beginning of May 2007?
Have you yourself been the victim of a crime by this person?
Furthermore, there is reason to assume that, in addition to the perpetrator himself, there are other people who have specific knowledge of the possible course of events and, if applicable, where the corpse was deposited. We expressly ask these people to get in touch and share their knowledge.

Doesn’t appear that they’ve got very far. Isn’t this the very same information that they appealed for over 2 years ago?

He’s not.

His word is not only tainted by the circumstances in which he gave the police the information but also by the copious amount of, paid, interviews he has given to the tabloids.
The police confirmed he received no payment or favours for the information he gave them, anything else is superfluous and you have no evidence he was ever paid anyway, just belief.

All will be revealed under cross examination when Busching takes the stand against Brueckner.
Which will be happening soon after the Behan rape trial, if you're totally deluded.

Shame on me….I’m sure he gave the information out of the goodness of his heart. Just coincidence that he had just been arrested for people smuggling I’m sure. How long was it that he had hung on to the information?

Now if you’re interested I have this bridge that’s for sale.

What a load of facetious nonsense but carry on believing what you want to believe, which seems to be that the police and the witness are all lying to stitch up some nonentity petty crimnal as the perpetrator of one of the most notorious crimes of the 21st century.

Not fitting up as such but both sides taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them. Busching would have known that the information he offered would need to have been a bit special to get him out of the particular bind he was in and the Greek police on the other hand I’m sure wouldn’t have been adverse to been seen to be playing an active part in possibly bring to justice one of the most sought after criminals in the world. Quid pro quo if you will.

BTW you didn’t answer my question. Why do you think that Busching held on to the information he eventually gave the police for so many years….also why do you believe a man who had so little thought for Madeleine and her parents that he denied them a resolution to their agony for years and years? Surely a man like that and what he says should be given no credence by any right thinking person?

I don’t know the answers to any of your questions but as the Greek and German police have obviously given credence to his evidence so I can only assume from your last sentence that you don’t believe the police from either force are right thinking.

Incidentally Busching’s evidence helped solve a serious rape crime, so his evidence-giving has proven credibility.

Clever you to highlight the October date regarding the reprise of previous requests for information made by the BKA.  Really it is old news unless the significance of the date leaps out at you and is noted by super sleuths such as you.

What was it happened in October?

Could it have been    🔻  🔻  🔻  🔻  🔻  🔻  🔻

Maddie suspect Christian Brueckner charged with multiple sex crimes in Portugalhttps://metro.co.uk/2022/10/11/maddie-suspect-christian-breuckner-charged-with-multiple-sex-crimes-in-portugal-17543720/
Which of course frees up the investigators to give more attention to Madeleine's case which is very obviously very much to the fore.
"The investigation into the disappearance of Maddie McCann continues regardless of the charges," said the spokesman for the public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig, Hans Christian Wolters, on Wednesday. Due to the ongoing investigation, no further information on the previous results could be published in the case of the missing Briton.

"You can all be assured that the public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig is not anxious to unnecessarily prolong the investigation in the case of Maddie McCann," Wolters told journalists. It is a matter of clarifying the facts in the best possible way. "We continue to ask for the help of the population," said the prosecutor, referring to the public search of the Federal Criminal Police Office on the Internet.

So don't worry too much about the same request for the same information being made.  The Germans are obviously building their case and acquiring as much information as possible to enable a conclusion.  Remind yourself of what that is, a clue is in the appeal for assistance you linked to.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

I think they want to help solve the case..by any means possible.

You only have to look at the cases of both Lynette White and Michael Stone to see how evidence from unreliable witnesses can contribute to a miscarriage of justice. All you need is a police force desperate to use any means necessary to solve a crime and a witness who has something to fear.

Did it? He gave evidence about a tape that he couldn’t produce and whose footage didn’t show the rape in question.

Anyway wasn’t it the single hair that convicted Brueckner?

Neither the Greeks nor the Germans were desperate to solve the disappearance of a foreign child in a completely different country.  There was absolutely no pressure on them to do so, no time or resources previously spent investigating it, your theory is completely illogical.   Ironically the one police force who might have something to gain from stitching up a patsy seem less gung-ho to name CB as their chief suspect.  How do you account for that?

Have you read the Metro link?

“ The Braunschweig prosecutor’s office said in a statement: ‘The accused is the same person against whom charges were brought in connection with the disappearance of the then 3-year-old British girl Madeleine Beth McCann.”

What was Busching’s claim? That he found a tape that DIDN'T show the rape that Brueckner was being investigated for?
Question is did Busching go to the police or did they seek him out? Once again Busching offers the police unverifiable evidence long after he claims the events happened.
