I wonder where you get your information from? Read the remit! OG conducted both a review and an investigation from the very beginning.

They did a review this was the conclusion -

Dismissing conspiracy theories about Madeleine's parents' involvement, Redwood said he believed the girl's disappearance was the result of "a criminal act by a stranger".

Right at the beginning no mention of abduction only disappearance.   Abduction came after the review.

Not having any joy proving as much though. Which is surprising really, considering if we saw the evidence Wolters has we'd be in no doubt. Us, that is, but not a judge for some reason.

Do you have a cite for the re-investigation running concurrently with the review from the very start please?

Really? The review was finally completed in 2015.

In July 2013 the status of the Met’s enquiries changed to that of an investigation, working with the Portuguese authorities to pursue specific lines of enquiry.

You have literally no idea what information that police have gathered, nor what information they have shared with each other.  It’s revealing  that complete ignorance on these matters has resulted in such arrogance on the part of you and your little cabal of pooh-poohers.

I cannot quite gauge exactly where people are coming from who believe they have an absolute entitlement to be told every piece evidence in an active police investigation.

Particularly as they have shown complete dimness regarding anything already in the public domain.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Give them a chance, they've narrowed it down to not knowing where he (CB) was.

They have also narrowed down Brueckner's alleged alibi to absolutely zilch in the process 🙄

We know full well only what we were told about 2 years ago.  I thought we weren't supposed to believe a word the police, the media or the McCanns told us anyway?  Pick and choose, pick and choose...

It is remarkable that there has been an active international police case going on without interruption since Operation Grange first officially took on Madeleine's case.

It is worth noting that effectively it has followed sceptic precedent by going full circle and ending up precisely where it all began: Madeleine McCann: Investigation was flawed from the start, says senior detective who was there
Published: June 5, 2020
The information from the German authorities and the Metropolitan Police Service indicates that in May 2007 this man was living and frequenting Praia da Luz, Portugal, and possibly committing burglaries at holiday complexes to fund his itinerant lifestyle. It also appears that as a teenager he was convicted of sexual offences against children in Germany and was therefore a known convicted sex offender in 2007.

This raises several questions: was he known to the Portuguese investigation team at the time? If so, when did his name enter their system and what did they do to implicate or eliminate him from their enquiry? When was his name passed on to the UK investigation team? These are questions at the forefront of my mind as I think back to my time in Portugal. https://theconversation.com/madeleine-mccann-investigation-was-flawed-from-the-start-says-senior-detective-who-was-there-140132

One question has been answered. We do know the prime suspect very definitely was on Portuguese police radar at the time.

How many times do we have to repeat this?  Everybody knows it already.

PS.  Any more news from Mark Williams Thomas?  Or has he dropped out again?

I wonder where you get your information from? Read the remit! OG conducted both a review and an investigation from the very beginning.

I tend to source my information directly from the horse's mouth so to speak.

Snip
Madeleine McCann had been missing for several days when I arrived in Praia da Luz in May 2007.

I had been sent to Portugal as part of the UK’s Child Exploitation Online Protection Centre (CEOP) response to Madeleine’s disappearance.

I was a detective superintendent and senior investigating officer (SIO) with knowledge about predatory child sexual abusers and non-familial child abduction.

...

Three years after Madeleine’s disappearance, in 2010,

I conducted and wrote CEOP’s internal review of the Portuguese investigation,

which was subsequently passed to the Home Office.

The review contained observations and recommendations that, after repeated requests from the McCanns, led to the Met being tasked to establish their own investigation, Operation Grange.

I think there have been many remits following many initiatives in Madeleine's case.

Initially there was no case.

Then there was a REVIEW.

Then there was OPERATION GRANGE.

Do you seriously think a REMIT never changes as fresh information is achieved?  Oh Well Then!!! you should be ecstatically happy that a person of interest to the Portuguese cops in 2007 remains, not only a person of interest in 2022 but has progressed to being prime suspect.

...which is utterly pointless, because we know the 'evidence' against the prime suspect is flimsy bluff, hot air & nothing more.
If you're ever left wondering why the case against the new prime suspect doesn't progress, that is the reason.

Probably for as long as subtle and not so subtle misinformation is circulated it needs to be corrected.  I must admit though, I am suffering fatigue at the futility of conscience so nakedly and very darkly on display.
For some it was never about putting a missing child centre stage in the effort to recover her and as time passes, that becomes more prosaic.

Last I heard MWT is sticking with woke and wandered.
