Don't you find it odd that there are people here who seem to know CB so well as to be quite certain that he couldn't possibly have committed such a heinous crime?

I have given that some deeply considered consideration.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

How do you know?   Thing is we haven't got a clue what he has done in the past.   He went to different countries.

When the press back in 2020 were like a pack of rabid dogs all manner of supposed crimes were supposed to have been linked to CB, none seemed to have gained traction save for the ones he's been indicted for, but yet not one murder.

Please provide a cite to substantiate your claim.

As we have seen from recent royal claims generalisations about press intrusions are ten a penny.

For our purposes accusations from official sources would be nice.

BKA ~ PJ ~ SY or even something along the lines of ex-investigator's ravings about patsys and dreadlocks would probably be acceptable too.

I give up.  There is no conversation to be had here.  But just watch what you all have to say.

That is expected.   If a person suspected of abducting a child was in the area where another child went missing, it is normal for the police to look into it.

CB as you know had fantasies of taking something small and then disposing of it,  how do you know he hasn't done that?

Yes, just because. He just doesn't seem the type. There are no frenzied attacks reported. Playground exposures & calculated rapes, yes, but he doesn't come across as a Levi Bellfield or Peter Suttclife to me. He doesn't seem to have that level of bloodlust.

Obviously the troll and the paedo are intimately acquainted for the former to apparently know the latter so well.

I wonder what level of “bloodlust” the friends and family of Mark Bridger would have assigned to him prior to him abducting, raping, mudering and chopping up the body of April Jones?  Likewise Wayne Couzens. Did either of these “seem the type” prior to their horrendous crimes being revealed?

He just doesn't seem like a murderer to me, from all the available evidence. Certainly  Wolters is having a problem with nailing Brueckner for Maddie's murder & maybe that's because he simply didn't murder her.
That could be the very reason couldn't it.

My view is that Brückner didn’t kill Madeleine per se. And if he did, it was by accident, I believe. Wolters first want to make sure that Brückner gets sentenced for the five new charges. And as the BKA said, then pursue Madeleine’s case. Personally, I think Madeleine is alive.

But there's concrete evidence she's dead? According to Wolters if we knew the evidence he has we'd be in no doubt. How could she possibly be alive? Unless perhaps Wolters wasn't telling the truth. I suppose that's possible isn't it.

Brueckner could have murdered Madeleine even though he hadn’t murdered before, there’s always a first time. Yet the fact that Gerry had never committed a criminal act is proof that he couldn’t have committed the one he was accused of ie the occultation of a body.

Interesting.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Well said Anthro.
It is not easy going against the majority viewpoint.   I hope that they do not put you on ignore as many seem to have done to me.

May I remind posters that at the time, I stood out against the supporters barely hidden conviction that Brueckner was guilty of  abducting and murdering Madeleine.  Now there is uncertainty where there was conviction.  I welcome this.

For expressing an opposing view, it seems to me that I was ostracised by many.

Sad.  This is a forum and all views should be considered

Like Eleanor, I am reluctant to point the finger at anyone without an abundance of evidence = facts, as well as pointers.

I am still open minded about Brueckner although I have possible pointers that he might have been the driver who Carlos Moreira saw with ?Madeleine in the back of a white van at the roadside cafe on the N10 near Samora Corriea   This driver was identified by Carlos as being very like a photofit that we have all seen and discussed.
The photofit was very like CB and I spent ages changing a photograph of CB by adding a wig, altering the eyebrows as though with mascara and possible black pencil + adding the same sort of moustache.

Where have all the small images of this efit sketch vanished to?  They seem to have been cleared off the internet.  Why?

I think that that photofit was so like a deliberately disguised CB that it ia likely that the photofit was of CB.
But I DON'T KNOW for sure, so it goes on the back burner

Like Elli I don't like accusing without proof and i have no actual proof atm.
