But has one anti admitted that yet?
I reckon you're using a lot the words "pro" and "anti", Debunker. Are you an anti or a pro, an anti pro or a pro anti, an anti pro and anti or a pro anti and pro ?

Eddie alerts to a general dissipated scent that has attached itself to areas and objects way past the originating spot, unlike Keela who alerts to a very specific spot where physical evidence lies.

It is crucial to keep this in mind. Keela is much more specialized than Eddie was. She discriminates between blood and other human decay products whereas Eddie smells a mixture of many compounds that time transforms. It's difficult to imagine but has been proven when forensic materials are found.

Jezuz, what am I doing still being here?  I have never come across such a pile of bolleaux in my entire life.
There is no evidence against The McCanns, never has been and never will be.  Sorry, it is over, beyond the possibility of  one day finding Madeleine.

I get what you're saying Eleanor  ...  going over and over the same ground does all seem a bit pointless

I guess the next time we'll have something new to say is when the libel trial happens  (   if it ever does )

You have begun to sound half sensible to me, and almost a pleasure to debate with, presuming that I actually wanted to debate with anyone who doesn't agree with me.  But there you go.  None of us would be here if we didn't disagree with someone.

The Libel Trial?  What will it be?  Just a matter of who can say what they like and who can't.  It certainly won't decide the Guilt of anyone.  Only whether or not anyone, not least the leading detective may be allowed to make money out of what he thought.

If only he had stopped short of his ghastly book.  But he had to go on and on and on.  What would you have done if it was you he was talking about?

Can I ask what Eddie did before he was an  'enhanced' victim rescue dog.

He was a victim resue dog

Before that he was a dog

Before that he was a puppy!

Enhanced Victim Rescue/Recovery Dog is a pretendy title made up by Mr Grime.

Bingo ....

My position is quite clear.

I am pro TRUTH- that is belief justified by evidence, and I am anti people who claim to know more than is possible at their pay grade.

Sad isnt it, that labels have appeared, but thats half understandable, what just is not understandable is that some posters here and elsewhere, take something one *pro* or *anti* has said, or even a handful and then proceed to label ALL *[ censored word]* or *pros* with the same brush, alledging that they say or think the same and even if they dont attack said comments it MUST mean they condone them, Its pathetic and a sign of not alot of independent mentality IMO

That might be the case on actual operations, but not the case in training and testing, when its *known* the source is cadaver odour

qualifier to statement that eddies alert can NEVER be taken as indication of cadaver odour

ETA, not sure when keela was actually deployed, and I didnt onow Mark Harrison was her trainer either

Eddie was used to discover live and dead bodies in Disaster situations.  Very useful.  He was never asked to decide if they were dead or alive.

Isn't victim recovery different from victim rescue? eddie is/was a victim recovery dog, which means finding dead bodies

No.

This reference from the Sam Parker case has always intrigued me:

We also saw video played in the courtroom to demonstrate how another dog, Eddie, found a sample pair of pants hidden in the Walker County Jail that was perfumed with a cadaver scent. Eddie is an English Springer Spaniel belonging to Martin Grime, a world-renown forensic K-9 expert based in the United Kingdom.

That sounds, to me, suspiciously like pseudo-scents of the type Grime says in his profile Eddie won't react to ...

I'm glad ! Don't you think though that any of us would pretend the same ?..
Nevertheless I would certainly congratulate you if you made an effort not to freeze people into categories.

There is nothing even remotely humble or ill informed about the opinions of Debunker.  But I would agree that he is a complete pain in the ar.. at times, simply because he is always right.

It is easy being right when you maintain that we know nothing!

Happily it is also the truth!

Exactly.  Love him or loathe him, debunker deals only in cold, hard facts.
