Last year the review team led by Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood said it had identified 195 potential leads after examining a huge bundle of material.

It was "perfectly probable" that information which could identify the person responsible for Madeleine's disappearance was already within the Portuguese files, Campbell said.
How did they eliminate about 150 ? Interviewing them because they were on UK soil and nobody would, in fact, protest ? Or thanks to HOLMES ? Or thanks to hypothetical deduction?
I understand the last sentence like a progress. The truth isn't "out there".

What SY say publically is for me fluff and PR and nothng else and probably for the best if they are to conduct their investigation in peace and quiet, no need for anyone  to hang onto any word uttered which is always to sheep

Probably by using simple detective work, matching up the evidence on computers (not tatty bits of paper like those Rebelo found when he took over), questioning people both in the UK and Portugal (as apparently has been happening with PJ knowledge), by taking the extra effort to ensure that people are contacted and not just ignored because they have left the area etc, etc.

When police use systems such as Holmes, it allows them to check alibis, check a person's past record, check documentation and to compare one statement against hundreds of others.

It also helps to be more open to all potential criminal actions in a case rather than being focused on only certain potential culprits.

Are you saying that we are all sheep and mediocraties (per your signature) and you are a great mind?

[Sig:  Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence, Einstein]

I am confused

Sadie, I replied to you regarding why I considered the SY statements fluff, its my *opinion* whether you like it not. the reference to sheep was to people who will believe every word said by the police, such words may alot of the time be *fluff* if only to keep what the police are doing confidential. How you decided to take that very personally and then connect it to my signature as well,as referring to other people here as sheep is, only known to you. I didnt realise ones signature had to be related somehow to this case, anyway, its just a quote of Einsteins I like, I am excused now?
