Yes, it's quite wise to get the best lawyer possible when faced with the possibility of being accused of doing away with your first born child.

You seem to enjoy rewriting history.

The PJ believed the Mccanns hid the accidental death of Madeleine, not 'doing away' with her.

Oh pardon, "doing away with her body" then. I'm sure that's a serious criminal offence to warrant a very good lawyer. I would certainly have got the best one I could afford in the same circumstances.

ETA Btw, the PJ thought no such thing at the end of the investigation, only Amaral & his merry men (convicted torturers, perjurers et al) thought so. Please refer to Legal Summary in case of doubt.

On the subject of police, would you like to discuss the presence of Redwood and co., who participated in the Dando case ?

Dando case has nothing to do with the Madeleine case.

Dando case has nothing to do with the Madeleine case.

Now it has, since the review team include detectives from that case, and pray tell me what happened to Barry George ?

Nothing to do with the case at hand.

Nothing to do with the case at hand.

By that logic, neither is the Cipriano case.

Has any of the officers involved in the Dando case been convicted of perjury, torture or charged with corruption?

That's the only relevance the Cipriano case has to the McCann case IMO.

Exactly, your opinion.

Redwood and co., got it WRONG in the Dando case.

It was deemed to be an unsafe conviction.

So Redwood's and associates  judgement and skills are under the microscope.

Meanwhile Amaral did not torture Cipriano, or are you saying otherwise ?

No, neither did Tavares de Almeida AFAIK, he tortured another innocent Portuguese man http://expresso.sapo.pt/dois-inspetores-da-pj-condenados-por-tortura=f782292

Amaral was convicted for giving false testimony to the court - appeal was later lost too.

ETA & none of the above had anything to do with lawyers.

Can you explain to me logically why you and other mccannites are so obsessed with Amaral ?

In the investigation of Madeleine's disappearance his views were shared by the PJ.

In the end, when the case was shelved, not closed, and also as the CFO stated, it was left as 'type of crime unknown, due to lack of evidence to bring a prosecution.

Obviously must have missed the final conclusion of the Legal Summary

Therefore, after all seen, analysed and duly pondered, with all that is left exposed, it is determined:

a) The archiving of the Process concerning arguido Robert James Queriol Eveleigh Murat, because there are no indications of the practise of any crime under the dispositions of article 277 number 1 of the Penal Process Code;

b) The archiving of the Process concerning Arguidos Gerald Patrick McCann and Kate Marie Healy, because there are no indications of the practise of any crime under the dispositions of article 277 number 1 of the Penal Process Code.

Already seen sometime ago.

However, please do note, 'no indications of the practice of any crime', does not mean no crime was not committed.

It means evidence was insufficient at the time to bring a prosecution.

LOL I think most of us are capable of understanding what NO INDICATION OF ANY CRIME means in the circumstances, thanks.
