Mrs McCann has a irresistible tendency to show clearly her will to strike down any element or person that denies the orthodox version, theirs, and puts the victim mother at risk. Mrs Fenn had the misfortune to reveal 1) children weren't checked every 30 minutes and 2) the McCann system didn't work as a baby sitter would have, who had called and made them be there in a minute. All this for only a few miserable pounds.
I disagree Anne - In her book Kate says
Tonight (2nd May) it was Rachael's turn to be feeling a bit under the weather and she gave dinner a miss, remaining in her apartment next to ours. The only other difference was that after dinner we ventured into the enclosed bar area - where it was, to my relief, warmer - for a liqueur. As a result we went back to our apartments a little later than normal.
It also meant that the time between our last check of the children and our return was longer, closer to 45 minutes.End quote
Kate has no problem admitting that on that one occasion they exceeded the 30mins 'rule'. If she had not wanted that to be 'revealed' as you are implying - she wouldn't have included that info in her book.
Personally I would no more allow anyone I had only just met - and knew nothing about - to spend hours alone in my apartment with
my children, any more than I would have dreamed of doing that at home.
