Wouldn't all parties have known for months when the tribunal would sit again?
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

Thats ridiculous, don't you think appointments are made months in advance. As Shona said yesterday, I'd be peeved if my appointment was cancelled.
Appointments, that could mean a matter of life or death, to someone.

Yes, it could have been too difficult to re-arrange appointments or find another doctor to cover.

That's the simple answer, DCI

But it's nonetheless significant that Gerry's public profile is low at such a crucial and sensitive time for the McCanns, with the trial and SY's negotiations with the Portuguese authorities coinciding, and Operation Grange likely being the last chance for a proper investigation and public funds.

Interesting timing. Where's the Doctor at the final push?

I must say I was shocked at the comments on that Yahoo board yesterday.  If that is anything to go by (and there is no reason to think otherwise) the McCanns aren't receiving very much public support now some six plus years down the line.

Has the money issue been their undoing?

Yes, that tends to happen when you are unable to expand your horizons and look beyond the cesspits and hellholes of the internet. Your views become tainted.

I think it may have been the straw that broke the camels back John.

Let’s count the months, shall we?

There are probably several reasons why Gerry decided to remain at home last week and not travel to Lisbon and most of them have already been discussed on this thread.  I can only imagine he wished he was there with Kate if only to give her support.  I certainly felt for her when she gave that short interview outside the court, she was on the verge of tears but held them back bravely.

Neeley.  This thread has been split as it has gone off topic, I will respond to your post shortly on the new thread.

If we were to allow everyone to post off topic the threads would all end up converging eventually.  Just imagine how the new members feel when they are faced with threads which go off the subject routinely.

ps Part II trial evidence now being posted.

For exactly the same reason he hasn't been out searching for his daughter for the last six years.  Something else takes priority - HIS CAREER!!
