a lot of posters who believe amarals views think that eventually the Mccanns will be charged.

As Blondie once said, "Picture This":

Kate and Gerry McCann are arrested and sent to PT for trial.  How on earth could they ever hope to have a fair trial after Amaral saturating TV sofas for the past few years?  There would be no chance of a fair trial.  Thanks to Amaral.

So in trying to cash in with his book, he has caused a few unforeseen problems, potentially....

Isn't there something in the preface of his book about him knowing that publication was potentially damaging the case? Did he go ahead because he believed his honour or his personal financial gain was more important than solving the case of a missing little girl?

You appear to be missing the FACT that Amaral did state that his own book could damage the case relating to missing Madeleine. Why have you ignored that fact and instead chosen to fantasise about the future?

The case could result in either party losing. It is impossible to be sure what will happen in that respect. Your presumption that your prediction of the future is simply ridiculous.

Shame on Gilet who, in spite of having be corrected (supposing she was innocently misunderstanding English !), goes on repeating the same grotesque accusation. Is she hoping that by dint of pretending Mr Amaral deliberately put on risk the search for Madeleine, she'll change the meaning of Mr Amaral's speech ?

This is the translation of the relevant paragraph in the introduction to Amaral's book which Gilet refers to above:

In no way does this text seek to challenge the work of my colleagues in the police judiciaire or to compromise the ongoing investigation. I am convinced that the disclosure of all the facts may, in the present case, result in harming the investigation. However, the reader will have access to unpublished information, to new interpretations of events – always with respect for the law – and, of course, to relevant enquiries.

There can be no misunderstanding of Amaral's meaning of the underlined section, unless there is a mistranslation.  So which is it?

There is a more simple explanation of course.

ALL the facts haven't been disclosed. >@@(*&)

According to statements in court, all the files have been released apart from names of sex offenders. From what I can see amaral has made a trial impossible. He has a degree in law he must have known what he was doing.

That would be a pretty disastrous outcome for the McCanns  ...  charged by the police,  but  'let off'  being tried for the crime on a legal technicality

They would live under it's shadow for the rest of their lives
