Goncalo Amaral's thesis trashed by SY and PJ

On listening to DCI Redwood in the videos below there can be no doubt whatsoever that the thesis of involvement of the McCanns has been trashed by the detectives of Operation Grange.

They have comprehensively stated that they have no belief in the theory that either Gerry, Kate or their friends were involved.

Also there is clear evidence from Alves and from the involvement of the McCanns at the end of the meeting of the PJ Oporto team and SY that the PJ has no suspicion of the parents either.

And yet some people still think that the news of the last few days is favourable to Amaral and unfavourable to the McCanns.

Can anyone explain why?

Please show the quotes where the dogs "said" there was a body.

All I have seen so far is them alerting as they have been trained to (Eddie to blood and cadaver odour and Keela to blood).

So at best you could say they alerted to blood and cadaver odour but that does not prove the existence of a body in the apartment. In another case where dogs alerted to cadaver odour in a missing child case it turned out there was no body present but a bed which had once been in contact with a body had been brought into the flat.

So is there an actual quote from the dogs as you suggest?


There is however a clear quotation from DCI Redwood and while I have not seen a direct quote from PJ (maybe the reason being secrecy law) there is clear evidence from their lawyer and from their being welcome in the PJ offices to discuss the case that they are not in fact suspects.

I doubt it was the dogs as the poster seems to suggest. And I have never seen anyone else in authority state it as a fact either.

I do think the dogs found something ,i believe they was meant to find confusion to get the case closed .but that my personal thought .
Nope dogs dont speak ! They have found something which now gave them a lead lets hope the pj and sy are excited with there findings .its a job to them and an outcome would be good for them both .

I think you have been spoiled by the release of the case files at archival stage. Surely this should never have happened while the case could have been re-opened?

It certainly won't be happening with regard to any UK police investigation thank goodness. The correct time for release of evidence is when a person is charged.

Where's the evidence that confirms what your claiming? Statements made on TV and in newspapers don't count. Who's going to believe anything said off the cuff just ten days after the debut of Blue Peter man?

Exactly. The dogs have never been able to confirm the presence of the body of Madeleine McCann in the apartment (or anywhere else in fact). They simply don't do that.

I am willing to trust the SY and the PJ but I also think that we shouldn't forget that they don't actually know what happened to Madeleine that night and they themselves admit that this might never be fully uncovered.

So, when saying that "the SY say this" or the "PJ believe that" we should always remember that they don't know what happened, all they have are sketchy theories.
