Hi Everyone, Followed this sad, tragic case of Madeleine from day one as I use to work in legal and this interests me and I care. Thrilled PJ have at long last decided to open the case. I feel strongly by reading the files The McCanns are not guilty and know now they definitely should not have left their children. What troubles me after PJ & SY have said The McCanns are not guilty ppl still harp on and try to find myths that they are, very odd minds.
Hi comanche and welcome. I agree to a great extent, but I wouldn't go quite so far. The truth isn't known. However what is clear is that Maddie vanished, her parents have suffered to a great extent, and the authorities have been unable to bring any kind of case against them. I therefore do think we should give them the benefit of the doubt, at least until there is hard evidence to think otherwise.
I do understand the different points of view though. On the one side you have the people who are appalled that others can expend so much time and energy accusing the McCann's when they have clearly suffered and when the authorities appear to have ruled them out as suspects. On the other hand, they did leave their children unattended and statistically parents should always be treated as suspects. And the original police chief did make allegations, even if these are no longer
du jour.
