The libel trial is going exceedingly well for Amaral and there is no denying that aspect. The McCanns for their part have failed to produce a single witness who could have spoken to events in Portugal.
But that aside, is it also coincidental that a new Attorney General (a female this time) has been appointed in Portugal? Could there be much more going on than just wanting to resolve the Madeleine case? Is this AG out to make a name for herself...has she too joined the bandwagon and is attempting to glorify her stewardship on the back of a missing 10 year old British girl??
You may think there is no denying it but others will beg to differ.
You do not have the monopoly on opinion.
Perhaps you do not appreciate that the purpose of the trial is not simply to have "spoken to events in Portugal" whatever that rather odd usage of English might mean.
Perhaps the purpose is simply to show effect which would be the norm for trials in which the focus is the effect of the defamation?
And sorry, I don't subscribe to conspiralunacy in the way your last paragraph suggests.
