It was me that mentioned agenda and said I didn't know exactly what it was, though Gerry obviously does.
It has since  been seized on by others as a distraction from the thread.

The only reason I can think of is that they were considered, for whatever reason, to be unhelpful to the McCann agenda.

I asked what agenda? I'll add, why do you assume there is an agenda?

I know what I said , and admitted that I wasn't sure what it was, but they certainly have one, as is demonstrated by the flip chart. I don't know Gerry and cannot get inside his head. Satisfied ?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.

The "Wider Agenda" for the campaign to find a missing child, the specifics and beyond.  It had nothing to do with Gerry, it was the organisation of the search.

By the way, bit weak, the silly photo was posted after you posted.

It can hardly be a 'sinister' agenda, otherwise surely he would not have wanted to have his photograph taken with it?
The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

Can't have it both ways on Tanner's invisibility. Either she was present to give Gerry McCann an alibi (if you are saying the sighting was fabricated), or she wasn't.

If Gerry was using Jane to fabricate an alibi for himself, they would have got their stories straight. He wouldn't have said that his key witness wasn't even in the street at the time!

And re Smith,  please see my recent reply to icabod. Kate invokes the Smith sighting as a defense for the abduction theory - not a contradiction to it.
No, SH, I'm not saying the sighting was fabricated and I even think Ms Tanner saw a Tannerman who wasn't Innocentman, but not where and when she said she did.
I can't believe Innocentman walked all the way from the creche carrying the child as Ms Tanner described.
I'm sure there was no kind of previous plot or silence pact. The members of the group had some "natural" common interests.
Come on, SH ! The McCanns learnt about Smithman in the beginning of June 2007. Though in June 2007 Mr Smith had not yet found Smithman was Gerrylike, their first and twisted acknowledgement of this sighting was only two years later.

As for Gerry's being witnessed at the table at the time the alarm was being raised, and when the Smith sighting took place - whether or not all the exact times have been established -  even if there are no witnesses to this outside T7, there are clearly many witnesses to the fact that Gerry was in and around the complex between 10 and 11. There is no way Gerry could have hidden Madeleine and returned to the complex in a short enough space of time for his presence not have been missed by several people involved in the ensuing situation. This has been discussed at length as well.
It's not as clear as that, SH. A waiter saw him leave the table for 30 minutes.
Nobody knows where Mr McCann was just after the alarm. Mrs Webster didn't see him near the pool nor in the flat 5 minutes later.

Nor Fiona Payne. Matt, Dave and Russ split up and went searching. Gerry is MIA.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Add to that, the evidence of collusion in the form of the sticker book & the typed group statement, all their statements/evidence are not independent & immediately questionable.
The only independent witnesses to the alleged abduction are the Smith family.

"they didn't check on them like they afterwards declared they did"

i.e, they lied in their witness statements so their account of the truth cannot be considered an entirely truthful account.

Depending on where you read, and who you choose to believe, those efits were passed to the police. The Mccanns paid for them.  They paid for the investigation at that point. Why would they enter into such a thing if it had to potential to find their child, if they didn't want her found?

Point to one named source that has said they were passed to the police......they dont exist.....why not?

Unlike others I don't obsessively store links, there was a newspaper article the day after the Times, stating they were passed on to the police years ago.

Before you start shrieking for your "evidence" try google, it usually works for me.
