I still think what I thought at the time - they're both acting, but that may only indicate they'd been coached badly. I do think that was the last time he tried to be emotional.
In order to be coached appropriately, your coach has to know you quite well. If you don't wish to say/reveal certain things, the coach will do a bad job.

The point being that he thought it was worth taking the risk that something might be done to her eye.for the "marketing ploy"....the bit missed out by you  or "ignored  in the debate

I was questioning J.Rob's comment, which sounded to me as if the child herself was being used as a marketing ploy for some unspecified purpose.

Yes, she always was low down on the list of priorities for the McCanns although she was useful as a 'marketing ploy'.

Can you think of a more cynical comment from a parent who is supposedly grieving for his missing child? It is absolutely dispicable.

By then they'd had three days of advice from numerous bods hadn't they. We don't know the truth of what happened but we know they had advice on the best media strategy very quickly, and if they're told to be emotional but it doesn't come naturally then that could be trouble >@@(*&)

Next stop: The Vatican! Kate McCann doesn't just meet the Pope, she speaks to him. Pretty amazing transformation in less than 4 weeks.

How do you mean Anne?
You have noticed that Mr McCann takes great care to speak directly the less possible.
And he's right, because we know a dozen of sentences he surely regrets to have pronounced.

I agree, I know what you mean. But a lot of those were either never seen in the UK (like the Sandra Felgueiras interviews) or seen just once on regional TV or national and never seen again (except on the internet).

They were never shown in any of the documentaries (not that there have been many).

Every single interview they did should be appended to the PJ process.....just like KMs "book"...its all  "info" and evidence

Hopefully SY will be making a list as well...and watching and listening

I think this needs a full new topic but have you ever thought that McCanns actually, at the time when Madeleine disappeared, were put into 'a system'.. buy all of the professionals who came to deal with them..

1. They might have been under a heavy medication in the first days when Madeleine went missing.
2. They might have been advised what to say, what to mention and what to not mention.
3. All that came out as their words was actually carefully selected by potential profilers and advisers, who were not that perfect in assessing the situation at the time.

It might have been that all that is put as a 'wrong behaviour' to the McCanns actually wasn't their natural behaviour at all but an advised technique of behaviour they were told to perform

But they called in the "system"?
