Isn't it revealing that no arrests have taken place contrary to the spin we have been hearing ever since the last BBC Crimewatch programme.   The Portuguese don't appear to be in any rush to follow through on any letters of request.

No, I don't.  Why should I be grasping at straws?  It all means nothing to me.  Madeleine isn't my child.

You didn't actually expect the abductors to be dancing a fandango in the street, did you?  There are several places wherein they could have hidden, which is what I would have expected them to do.

Why am I still doing this?  Put it down to a slightly battered faith in The Law, and the right of The McCanns to be innocent.  And at least try to find Madeleine.

Absolutely nothing adds up to The McCanns harming their daughter and hiding her body.

Arrests won't take place prior to questioning anyway. This is not Britain, where someone can be arrested on mere suspicion.

Talk to The Portuguese about that.  Perhaps The PJ are just watching them to see what they will do.  I doubt that there is any rush as it is highly unlikely that the abductors know where Madeleine is now.

I am basing my comments on a knowledge of how satellite phones work.  It isn't rocket science.  Nothing to do with newspapers.  Just common sense.

On foot?  I don't know.  Perhaps they didn't want one of their cars seen in the vicinity.  And the walk to the beach is hardly a marathon.  Maximum five minutes, we have been told, in an attempt to stitch up Gerry.
Presuming he was heading for the beach, which seems likely to me.
And then they forgot about their silly old phones.  But to be fair phone tracking wasn't common knowledge in those days.
