Sorry, but how is leaving your three babies on their own and one disappearing become an international problem rather than a plainly personal one?

By all accounts it became an international problem, because of the media presence, because of the diplomatic situation between Britain and Portugal. Even without the spin from TM, this would still have been a much bigger story than a child going missing while the parents dined..

I think most people wouldn't have known where to start, so wouldn't have gone down that line, particularly not with ex-government spokespersons.

It's not a matter of lack of knowledge, or a matter of choice. There were 500 phone calls a day and someone had to deal with that.

In a difficult situation, one ascends quickly up the learning curve.

There's simply no evidence for it whatsoever, is there?

If Scotland Yard and the PJ find something to suggest abduction, what y'all gonna say then?!

Oooh

ya all?

Dont worry,  they never will come up with anything anyway.....IMO....most leads were already checked back in 2007

Then again depends how long you want to give them, 3 yrs nearly now, so not enough, another 3? There has to to be a deadlock sooner, or a breakthrough, you never know

And by the way, Red, what are you going to say if SY build a real case for abduction?

What were all these phones calls that it was so imperative to answer?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

OG have been pushed out by the Germans who have reserved all the deck chairs for the foreseeable future

Police, lawyers, press, friends, family, social workers, detectives, members of the public..

...helpers, accusers, detractors...

They had no choice, being part of an official police investigation, not to answer the phone.

1 If it is proved incontrovertibly then I and the Portuguese shall have to say "I got it wrong again dad".
2 Go tell it to the marines the sailors will not believe it?
