Yes I agree, the fact there was that much paperwork to trawl through shows me the PJ did do a thorough job.
The Portugese were suspicious of the McCann abduction story from the start. And who can blame them? They must had been astonished when the media descended along with an army of officials. Right from the very beginning, they must have smelt a giant rat.
I am sure they would have wanted to make the McCanns suspects from the word go, but were hampered in their task. The McCanns over-friendly relationship with Leicstershire police was more than unhelpful and served to distort the enquiry.
From the outset, the McCanns were critical of the Portugese police. Now, why might that be, I wonder? Why did the need their buddies from Leicstershire police to come along and hold their hands?
The more I learn about this case the more despicable I find the behaviour of the McCan parents and their supporters. Their actions and behaviours have done nothing to 'help' Madeleine, in my opinion. They have been entirely designed to help themselves.
