Thank you for replying to my query Mat.  To be honest I had forgotten that I had posted the question.  Admin is tweeting that Jeremy wanted nearer to £100,000 for his story but signed the contract with The News of the World for £40,000 in the end.  Do you happen to know if the paper scrapped the contract in the end or would they have been stuck with it should he have been acquitted?

Ps. Only members can pm each other and your mate is a guest.

Absolutely they would have had to go with their contract and payout to Bamber if he'd been found not guilty, they become pretty certain this wouldn't be the case.

Ah, hopefully my 'mate' has another account on here, so he canpm me to reveal all

I see that you have found out that Mike Teskowski doesn' like anyone posting anything which can compromise poor Jeremy's position. I am afraid that true facts don't sit too well with his fantasy theories and mystical informers.    @)(++(*

Oh, sorry for the late reply. I've only just seen this topic.

Yes, Jeremy had a deal with the NOTW which pre-dated JM's deal. His deal was for £40,000 which was given because the NOTW didn't believe him to be guilty and thought it would be a big scoop for them to have the story of a someone who had faced trial on a case that had gotten a great deal of attention, the deal was put together by David Montgomery but then something happened. The higher ups at the NOTW realised Bamber was guilty, they'd been saying this in their paper that Bamber was guilty for some time previous but there was always a belief that there was a great chance that Jeremy would get away with it, even if he was guilty due to the evidence.

But then when the belief changed, they realsied that they wouldn't be paying £40,000 and wanted to have a story to print, an exlcusive - so who was the next best thing? Julie. Her agreement was signed AFTER Jeremy's which is somethnig most people don't know, in fact most people do not know Jeremy had a deal in place, he did.  Montgomery worked with Julie too on her deal and found her to be much easier to deal with as Jeremy would often make phone calls to the news team in the lead up to him isnging his agreement and he would bitch and moan about the sum of £40,000 - he wanted more. Lotsd more.

I posted all of this and more on the other forum a few days ago - and it dissappeared.

Just read this having a browse...

Wow! So Jeremy Bamber actually signed the deal to sell his story BEFORE the press approached Julie?!

That’s been kept quiet.

And then Jeremy complained about only being offered “only” £40k for his story and thought he should get £100k?! That must be about £300k today....he does think he’s grand, doesn’t he?!

Erm, is it me or does anyone else think he’s money orientated? I read he told a police officer on the day he murdered his family that he was a “simple type” and a nice, little 2-bed house, ordinary car and enough cash to go for a few pints at the weekend was all he wanted out of life...

Oh, the lies, the lies, the lies....

Didn’t realise he was offered £40k thought it was £100k - any news on how much Anji was paid yet?

Two deals in place? Looks like he had more than one deal on the go

From "The Murders at White House Farm" by Carol Ann Lee...

Anji Greaves had waited for the verdict in a hotel not far from Chelmsford with two friends and a journalist. Her room was decorated with ‘Welcome Home, Jeremy!’ banners, and she wore her glitziest outfit, with a bag packed; the journalist intended to write Jeremy’s story when he was acquitted and then hustle the couple off on holiday. But when the television news delivered the outcome, Anji walked out in a daze, narrowly avoiding being run over. She told the journalist: ‘I feel so much loyalty for Jeremy but I do not know if I can bring myself to go on visiting now. It could be a life sentence for both of us.’

And was the holiday on top of the money?

I seem to recall reading that he was trying to negotiate the deal for his story at the same meeting in the pub as the deal for the photographs and wanted around 100K for each.

I wonder if Brett Collins has recently been asked to shed light on this but refused to talk about anything that implicated himself?

Bamber is definitely obsessed with money. Look at his continuous attempts to imply the relatives must have fabricated the silencer because of the inheritance.

A few cranks buy this idea while apparently remaining oblivious to the fact that many have gone to the extreme of cold blooded murder for inheritance too.

CS, he DID kill for money.

Absolutely.

His main targets were the twins : June and Nevill eventually wanted almost everything to go to them. That’s why evil Jeremy killed them.

Yes, Sheila and Jeremy were due to inherit most of the estate, but it was then to go to the twins.

I can't recall the details but i think JB was going to inherit the farm ( provided he was working there and committed to farming ) and Sheila would have got Junes share of the CV park and some cash. There was some provision for the twins.

Bamber didn't want to share.

So,  the facts are:

Jeremy Bamber was the first person to approach the newspapers demanding £20K for Sheila’s nude photographs, just a few weeks after shooting them all dead

He also offered his “life story “ at the same time; asking for £100K

Both were turned down by The Sun and instead they published what Jeremy had tried to do, and Jeremy didn’t even squeak, moan, deny, lie — he just hid like a coward

After his arrest & being charged, he signed a contract with the News Of The World that if he was found innocent he’d sell his story for £40,000, but was angry they wouldn’t give him £100K & kept pestering them to increase it. THIS PRE-DATED Julie Mugford’s deal much, much later when the press APPROACHED HER after realising he’d probably be found guilty, and which she was offered the much smaller amount of £25K.

So this £120,000 he tried to get by selling his life story despite being a nobody, and debasing Sheila just weeks after killing her; putting Colin through even more pain; having no thought for the six-year-old twins memory had their mother’s photos been plastered all over the press for people to gawp at; the pain for her extended family, friends — including Sheila’s biological mother and Sheila’s uncle...this extra £120,000 (now worth about treble) would have been ON TOP of the inheritance: the farm, caravan park, Nevill’s properties and business interests, Goldhanger, Sheila’s Maida Vale flat, a half share of Granny Speakman’s estate, all of Granny Bamber’s estate plus antiques, paintings, jewellery and ALL contents of properties.

Has anyone pointed out to him his hypocrisy when he complains about Julie accepting £25K for her story, when it was HE who FIRST tried to extort money out of the newspaper by trying to sell Sheila’s nude photos including his story — which would have been all lies?

After all, he hardly had an interesting life to tell — unless he was going to tell them about his trip to New Zealand, his gay affair, him being ripped off for $5,000 trying to buy & supply Heroin; him growing marijuana on WHF behind Nevill’s back & selling it for easy money; his cheating on various women; his promiscuity; his “daft but fun” cruel tricks getting June to put her hand in his pocket containing live rats; his two Cartier watches he couldn’t afford which he either stole or were fakes to try and impress, his deep desire to be a playboy, buy a Porsche, live in London, dine in expensive restaurants, drink Champagne, travel to Australia & settle there with his only friend, Brett, who was gay... so, what I wonder, was he going to say about his life?
