Jeremy Bamber and his News of the World deal

I believe you have some details of the £40,000 deal Jeremy Bamber had with the News of the World newspaper should he have been found innocent ?

Would you like to share it here as it won't be removed as it was over on the blue forum?  Thank you.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

You just got to laugh at the hypocrisy of the Bamberistas when it comes to the deal Julie and Jerry had with the News of the World rag.  It was alright for Bamber to have a deal for £40,000 had he been found innocent but it is a different story where Julie and her mediocre £25,000 is concerned.   Straws and grasping come to mind.

I have read in one of the Bamber books that Jeremy was quite unhappy that the NOTW deal was for 'only' 40K ... Bamber said it would be very explosive and he thought it was worth at least a 100K!

Of course Bamber also wanted a 100K from The Sun for the nude photos of poor murdered Sheila less than a month after her death! Bamber sealed his fate in the court of public opinion by that disgusting, vile attempt to exploit his victim!

Jerry told me he never tried to sell any pics of his sister and that is a lie. You will have to ask Bret about that.

Hello.  I came across this forum on twitter since I have always had an interest in the Jeremy Bamber case.  You seem to be convinced of his participation in the crime but do you think he had an accomplice?  Who are those people you are talking about?

Welcome to the forum; please introduce yourself to the forum in the foyer area.

I personally dismiss any chance of any accomplice but their are a couple of people on here who think it possible. Who are which people?

Hi Shaw. I presume the "people" you are asking about are a group of middle aged and elderly women with unfeasible amounts of time on their hands, who find it entertaining to insult the memory of a murdered girl.

Hi again and thanks for the welcomes.   Been having a better reed through some of the posts since yesterday and sort of worked out that it is Bamber supporters you are on about.   They don't ever seem to come up with any evidence from what I see.  What is there porpose any way???      I will introduce mysell shortly.

Do they have a porpoise? A forum porpoise? Can we have one?

Welcome, Shaw! Looking forward to meeting you!

Anything you need to know, Shaw, ask away. Unlike the other forum, we on here all earn a living, but there is usually someone about who can help you.

Good to back again after a short enforced break due to work committments.  It looks as if Jeremy won't be being offered too many deals for a very long time if ever given the CCRC decision a few weeks ago.

I must admit I thought they would defer the decision to the High Court as it was such an important one but by the looks of it there wasn't anything to defer as the application was so pathetic by all accounts.

Looking forward to posting a bit more often.........I see the cranks next door are still in residence.  Have they all changed their names out of embarrasment?

Doing a bit of a catch up here as we have been busy on another project to be announced soon.   Anyways, you are right Tim and good to have you back mate.   Hope your arm is well on the mend, those pesky dogs have much to answer for and we are not talking about Jackie Preece.    ?>)()<

Oh, sorry for the late reply. I've only just seen this topic.

Yes, Jeremy had a deal with the NOTW which pre-dated JM's deal. His deal was for £40,000 which was given because the NOTW didn't believe him to be guilty and thought it would be a big scoop for them to have the story of a someone who had faced trial on a case that had gotten a great deal of attention, the deal was put together by David Montgomery but then something happened. The higher ups at the NOTW realised Bamber was guilty, they'd been saying this in their paper that Bamber was guilty for some time previous but there was always a belief that there was a great chance that Jeremy would get away with it, even if he was guilty due to the evidence.

But then when the belief changed, they realsied that they wouldn't be paying £40,000 and wanted to have a story to print, an exlcusive - so who was the next best thing? Julie. Her agreement was signed AFTER Jeremy's which is somethnig most people don't know, in fact most people do not know Jeremy had a deal in place, he did.  Montgomery worked with Julie too on her deal and found her to be much easier to deal with as Jeremy would often make phone calls to the news team in the lead up to him isnging his agreement and he would bitch and moan about the sum of £40,000 - he wanted more. Lotsd more.

I posted all of this and more on the other forum a few days ago - and it dissappeared.

Thank you for replying to my query Mat.  To be honest I had forgotten that I had posted the question.  Admin is tweeting that Jeremy wanted nearer to £100,000 for his story but signed the contract with The News of the World for £40,000 in the end.  Do you happen to know if the paper scrapped the contract in the end or would they have been stuck with it should he have been acquitted?
