They would be more suspicious if they got together and wrote down a timeline or two.

They wrote the timelines down before they forgot them - and immediately handed them to the police - who said that was what they needed.        If they were colluding they would have done that in private - and not handed the evidence of their 'collusion' straight to the police on a plate.    That makes no sense.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

The Tapas bar was the alibi -  a timeline was necessary to bring the timeline forward because of the Smith sighting. One knew he was seen by them. 10pm alarm raised on tapas timeline. It was raised before that but those minutes are vital for the one who was seen to eliminate himself from the sighting.

We've been through this ad nauseum, the only person missing from the tapas for any length of time was Russell.

Who doesn't say so ? They were all at the Tapas when the alarm was launched (except for Ms Tanner). Nobody doubts it. Smithman didn't act before the alarm, he carried Madeleine away after.

The Tapas bar was the alibi
Alibi number 1, then, thanks to Tannerman, JW became alibi number 1. Innocentman turns the Tapas alibi number 1 again.

Madeleine's book

Madeleine's parents ripped off both covers, the front and the back, from a book belonging to Madeleine, in order to write on the inside the timing for each person. Russell O'Brien was involved with the drawing up of the timing. The book was seized by the GNR on the night of the disappearance. These covers would be attached to the case file, as elements of the investigation, on September 7th 2007, although seized during the night of 3rd to 4th May. Here are the terms on which the seizure document was based.

Terms of seizure:

At this time, it is considered of interest to the investigation to attach to the present deed, two covers of a child's book, on the inside covers of which is a schedule for supervision, hand-written by one of the McCann couple's group of friends and participant in this deed by name of Russell O'Brien.

Extract from Russell O'Brien's rogatory interview:

'But anyway Dave Payne said to, errm... there were two members of the PJ had arrived, there was a guy I remember being almost shaved bald head, quite dark complexion, and a second one who we kind of nicknamed 'baby face', who did our fingerprinting about a week later, errm... and those two were there and Dave was... was saying, you know, 'Shouldn't we', you know, 'Why are we sitting here, shouldn't you be on the radio, shouldn't there be more people here, shouldn't there be...', you know, 'this should be on the radio, it should be on the television' and, errm... I recall 'baby face', or his colleague, saying 'No media', and, you know... and that was full-stop and then turning round to me writing the timeline and saying 'That's what we want', fair enough. Errm... huh, and that's really it.

Interesting, if the PJ hadn't seized the timeline pages then, would the discrepancies in the stories have been less marked?

Still has a feeling of a Large Organisation CYA approach.

Yes

Once they got wind that they were going to be reinterviewed in the UK they all got together for a meeting

As for the written timelines, one differs from the other, they forgot to put Matts 9.30 check  on the Mccanns flat in one of them, seeing as Russell wrote them and Russell went off with Matt together at 9.30 and they both discussed where they should go first, (according to Matts rogatory interview) I cant see how he could have forgotten

Could mean nothing too of course!

It seems a bit bizarre anyone would have wanted to do it in the first place.

Yes. Difficult to see also how a child can be "poorly" within 5 minutes between her mum's check and her father's one. Perhaps Ms Tanner only listened to the shutters.

Who wrote these?
IMO this was written either by PJ or translator..
Nobody in the group would write 'Jerry'

Well, with a bevvies down them, they may have wanted to recap on the nights events before they forgot!

Your opinion is wrong,Russell Obrien wrote them as he states in his interview, and yes, he may not have known the correct spelling of his name, he didnt really know him that well
