Only cadaver stench requires a week's long airing....Spilling milk?!!! Indeed.

Even so the dog was able to signal that cadaver odour, and you and we all know these dogs don't signal dirty nappies, spilled milk or spilled beef defrosting,....only dirty people would do that, anyway.

Eddie never went into the car.   The only scent he alerted to was the blood on the keyfob - which belonged to Gerry McCann - who is not a cadaver.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

We don't know if apart from half drops of blood this key card wasn't contaminated.

Yes.
It's no practice in Portugal to leave the boot open to cool the car. Does it ?

Does anyone really believe that someone who had transported a dead body in the back of a car would be so stupid as to draw attention to it by leaving the tailgate open every day?

If I was transporting dirty nappies in the back of the car,  I would air it out as much as possible.

This woman says she saw the car boot open whenever she passed by in her car,   that doesn't mean it was left open all day long,   it couldn't have been as they were using it,   using the car then coming home and airing it out.

In any case it's ridiculous to imagine they transported a frozen Madeleine  in the car,   where would they have put her to freeze her?

It wouldn't have been the first time a victims body has been frozen for a period.  Not that I am saying it was in this case just that it has been done.

How would they have been able to freeze a body?

Amaral was to investigate the freezer hypothesis before he was removed. He would investigate any premises the McCann's were seen at or any of their friends properties in PDL.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Do they have large freezers in these holiday apartments then?   As I am assuming the Mc's would have had to recover the body from wherever they had hidden it,   to freeze her in apartment 5a?     Or are you suggesting they took her from the freezer in 5a to a freezer in the other apartment, or left her hidden wherever she was and then retrieved her when they were in the new apartment when they had the eyes of the world on them,   or did they ask a kind friend to retrieve her body and  store her in their freezer for them?

Those eccentric speculations about deep freeze emerged only because it passed nobody's mind that the McCanns wouldn't accomplish the funeral rituals if their daughter had died.

Does it cool a car to open the boot door ?

Most definitely, it lets the air circulate much better and keeps the interior of the car cooler than if it was closed.

The freezing of the cadaver theory is a bit bizarre even for Mr Amaral.   He based it solely on the comments of some nosey neighbour and the alert by blood dog Keela to staining on the boot floor of the Renault Scenic.  In reality the staining was the result of some meat products, purchased by family members from a retailer in the village, defrosting in the summer heat and leaking onto the car boot carpet.

If you leave a window open as well.
In hot countries, people have a tendency to have white cars and to close them well to keep them cool.
