I don't know about specific treatments .. people do take medication for heart conditions...

Better at least to be diagnosed and monitored than not.

Yes and Gerry's Crime watch description of Madeleine as "nearly perfect" does make me wonder if he viewed her as flawed.

Wikileaks tells us there was evidence, furthermore it was "developed" by the British in the first instance, which is why the British dogs with their British handler PC Grime were first brought in.

It has never been disclosed what that original evidence was, but presumably it still exists.
