There seems to be no middle ground.  The YES campaign reckon Scotland will be one of the wealthiest countries in the world.  The NO campaign reckon Scotland will suffer a Great Depression.

As usual with these things, there seems to be a lack of facts and figures just propaganda by the 'great and good' based on their personal views/agendas.

I will be surprised if the YES campaign win as psychologically most people don't like change, especially if there present circumstances are ok.  Better the devil you know and all that.

It's hilarious if it weren't so sad.  Alex Salmond wants to cherry pick all the good bits from the UK and leave the rot to the rest of us.  An independent Scotland will have no defence in the event of war, it will be left to the UK to protect us and them...can that be fair?

It is also inevitable that border controls will have to be introduced to keep illegals out of England and Wales since the Scots are wholly incapable of doing it.  It is going to be the Mexico/New Mexico situation played out on our own back door since England cannot be secure with a weak state bordering it to the north.  Watch this space!

Sorry.  I don't like The Poll.  Very biased.

There is real hope going on in Scotland.  Can't you smell it?

Regardless of what happens today half of Scots will feel like second class citizens in their own country. All Alex Salmond has managed to achieve is to set neighbour against neighbour and opened up a huge can of worms. He must be the most hated man in Scotland today, a rather fitting accolade don't you think?

No, I don't.  Fear is what the No Vote is all about.  And Hope is for the Yes Voters.  Britain has forgotten Hope.  But most people don't realise, sadly.

My family are up there and they dont trust him one bit and neither do they want change but the youngsters do.

Thank you, Colin.  My thoughts on the subject don't seem to be welcome.

The whole system is corrupted, run by a bunch of Z/J who runs everything in this country, they are all living in fear. Winston Churchill seem to have been the only one that stood up against them, but things are totally different now, corruption seem to be constantly on the menu these days.

Update, not that it really matter.
Police are investigating allegations of voter fraud in the Scottish referendum in Glasgow, election officials have confirmed.

Colin Edgar from Glasgow City Council told Sky's Kay Burley police were called in after evidence emerged of 10 possible incidents of electoral fraud in the city.
The allegations appear to centre on attempts at personation at some polling stations.
Mr Edgar said: "We've had a number of suggestions over the course of the day that people have turned up at the polling station to vote and they appear to have voted already.
"This is called personation if it turns out to be what it actually is.
"So what's happening tonight is we know which boxes those votes went into and we know the numbers on the votes, so the police have asked us to identify those votes, to take them away, keep them for evidence and hand them to them."
Mr Edgar said presiding officers had alerted officials to incidents of possible electoral fraud.
"Somebody turned up to vote, they gave their name, the presiding officer went to cross off their name on their list of voters to give them a ballot paper and found that their name had already been crossed off and a ballot paper already issued to somebody who apparently had the same name."

Not actually all that important, Colin.  Not enough to get cross about.  It is only the lies and broken promises that matter.

I have briefly concerned myself with your problem.  But there isn't anything that I can do for you.

But I might just join The Scottish Nationalist Party.  Anyone can join, even if they live elsewhere.  It only costs Twelve Pounds a year.

Well from my experience, I do not trust none of them.

Lysander Spooner

[W] hoever desires liberty, should understand these vital facts, viz.:

1. That every man who puts money into the hands of a "government" (so called) puts into its hands a sword which will be used against himself, to extort more money from him, and also to keep him in subjection to its arbitrary will.

2. That those who will take his money, without his consent, in the first place, will use it for his further robbery and enslavement, if he presumes to resist their demands in the future.

3. That it is a perfect absurdity to suppose that any body of men would ever take a man's money without his consent, for any such object as they profess to take it for, viz., that of protecting him; for why should they wish to protect him, if he does not wish them to do so?...

4. If a man wants "protection," he is competent to make his own bargains for it; and nobody has any occasion to rob him, in order to "protect" him against his will.

5. That the only security men can have for their political liberty, consists in their keeping their money in their own pockets, until they have assurances, perfectly satisfactory to themselves, that it will be used as they wish it to be used, for their benefit, and not for their injury.

6. That no government, so called, can reasonably be trusted for a moment, or reasonably be supposed to have honest purposes in view, any longer than it depends wholly upon voluntary support.

That is not entirely fair, Colin.  This was never your money.  And you have refused to treat with these people, for which your wife cannot answer.

I have never thought that you were asking for your own sake.  And you must go on doing the best that you think for your wife.

I honestly don't know how it came to this.  But i do think that you are in some way responsible.

But this has nothing to do with Scotland.

In France this would never have happened..

I think Lysander Spooner, was talking about government, it has nothing to do with me.

While we are on the subject, I do not ask for help, I am prepared to do my own dirty work and die for it.

Well well, Salmond has effectively gone now since he announced he would not be running in the campaign to elect a leader in November.   As expected Mrs Noddy aka Nicola Sturgeon has thrown her cap (head variety) in the ring and wants to be leader.  The SNP who only are in government by one seat anyway are sure to lose to Labour if she ever gets the job.

Salmond and Sturgeon, what a slippery pair!
