......and I thought I was on your ignore list.

Well it seems the mccanns have to prove they had the authorization to bring the case.

Now let's see what happens next, eh ?

doesn't really matter that much...you obviously don't understand the ruling...this only applies to one fifth of the damages so as someone posted on the site you referred to....
Yes, but they can't chase him for €1,25m. It has to only be for €1m. Even the diehard pros must admit now that this has been a bad blow for the McCanns.

so if the mccansns cant bring the case on behalf of maddie they can only sue for £1 million not £1.25

I wonder.
If the McCann signed away their responsibilities to the Childrens Court, can they make any sort of claim about impeding a search for Madelaiene, or only for defamation?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

it doesn't mean tthey are going to win.

Let's not forget either the other defendants in this case.

Now they have more financial clout than Amaral.

Indeed Jassi.

Time will tell on this.

Interesting as well, this announcement comes on the eve of the digging.

It does seem we're a long way away from the hysterical claims that the McCanns had settled on Amaral's terms.  Remember those days?

The precise meaning is unclear.

Do The McCanns need to have had permission to represent Madeleine prior to bringing the action, or can they apply in retrospect?

Do they in fact already have this permission.

In any event, it is hardly a disaster.

i.e. Things not going the mccanns way.

Hence attack Amaral again.

Oh Dear, The McCanns might be reduced to claiming only 1 Million Euros.  And since I don't think Amaral has that much money, then it won't matter all that much.

......................and of course they might receive nothing at all.

Which is precisely what they deserve for what they've done. IMHO of course.

I suppose that whoever wins, there is no guarantee as to what any award might be.

OR, my preference, the whole lot of bs is exposed for what it is, and the McCanns themselves are the ones in the witness box or being sued for libelling.....how many people????

Mrs Fenn, Amaral, Grime, Riberio, need I go on....?

It is well known that libel is difficult to prove libel in Portugal.

Amaral found that out already, when he had a case against Correia, and we know whatCorreia is ? 8-)(--) 8-)(--) 8-)(--)

I can’t find any mention of this from any ‘official’ source.

Does anyone else find it extraordinary that this information has been introduced into the public domain via an internet blog?
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

No one will "win", the case is suspended pending the results of Operation Grange.

No "secret sources" here, just a dab of common sense which tells me the ONLY reason a short non-criminal trial like this would be suspended, is the fact that the issue argued about (libel) is about to be resolved officially.
