How would it be easy for a man to dig a grave at short notice whilst he's on holiday in a foreign country, and without anyone noticing?

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

So you're seriously suggesting someone took her but kept her alive for weeks or months around PDL (is that in Edgar's 'lawless hinterland') in the epicentre of Portugal's and arguably the world's most famous missing persons case then at some point in the future killed the child and then, inexplicably, returned to the scene of the crime, and buried her almost next to where she was taken from?

All righty then!

And without a shovel too.

Only gardeners and local home owners would own a shovel.

And if it was a tourist then how would they and where from get the digging equipment?

It wasn't peak season, was it?

You tell me.  Could someone find a little place on a rocky beach to hide a tiny body at night?

I'd say it would be quite easy, myself.

Ah we go back to the modus operandi of the McCann supporters when in a tight spot.

The yard have requested digs in PDL. The PJ must be satisfied the evidence is sufficient to allow the request.

There are only two options if the yard are looking for a body in PDL. One is that [name removed] buried it or an abductor buried it.

Until such time as you or any of your fellow supporters can come up with a coherent and physically possible theory why and how an abductor could have done this, then that option is by the process of elimination off the table which then only leaves one option.

Blimey.  It's difficult to follow this argument as one doubter has it that somebody must've got rid of the body in the wasteland before 10pm and one has it that he dumped her in an easy-to-dig hole on the beach after 10pm.  I think I'll have to leave you to your fantasies for the time-being.

I thought I made it clear that I doubted she was buried in that patch of wasteland, did you miss that bit?

Well you think that my dear if it helps you sleep tonight but it doesn't make you right.

I'd love to hear your take on who buried it there and how they did it given the parameters I have outlined about an abductor and the time constraints between the child being taken and the alert that Maddie was missing.

These sorts of posts   (  and you make them relentlessly  )  are without substance

You persist with the insupportable suggestion that unless a precise and detailed explanation for the McCanns possible involvement in their daughter's disappearance is forthcoming then we are,  somehow,  obliged to accept their version of events without question

That is non sequitur  ...  the logic does not follow

It is perfectly reasonable to question that which is questionable without having an  'alternative'  explanation to offer

Speaking for myself,  I have no idea what happened to that little girl  ...   but I certainly don't feel that  because I don't know what happened to her I  must, necessarily,  believe what her parents say  happened to her

Oh so you know more than the Yard & the PJ?

Have you informed them that they are wrong to be searching there?

What evidence have you got that they are digging in the wrong place?
