My experience and conclusions in the last few months

                                    Justice Deprived or Depraved?

Having recently experience contact with the criminal justice system in the UK at all levels I have to say that it is not just dysfunctional but broken. The rush to judgement because of this particularly by the plods on the street appears to be rife.
Manipulation of "victims" is prevalent particularly in taking statements which are actually written by the police and are in effect "police" statements" which often show bias and vindictiveness on the part of arresting officers.
The crown prosecution service is often totally unprepared in court and adjournments are common place. Judges appear to be from a different space time continuum and make judgements that beggar belief. The fact that 3 out of 4 serial serious criminals "walk" is a sad commentary on British Justice which is the fountain of English and Common law used throughout the world .
Every day we see judges, lawyers ,barristers and even chief inspectors of police convicted and sentenced to custodial terms. It does not help dispel the ever increasing cynicism pervading the minds of clear thinking intelligent people and appears to confirm that the "asylum" is being run by people who should be  inmates
Rush to judgement, soft targets like motorists and jaywalkers are the order of the day. Go for small percentage of layabout welfare bums for fraud instead of the vast amout tax evaders and corporate welfare bums who can afford to fight the system.
I find this very, very sad but even sadder is the fact that this has become the norm and is only going to get worse. The system [if there still is one really] is broken.

Welcome to the forum nivonco.  Having seen our damaged criminal justice system from both sides I agree wholeheartedly with your observations.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.
