Nick Clegg and all his MEP's who have lost their seats in the European Parliament must be sick as a dog today. 

If Clegg and UKIP had any decency left they would withdraw from the coalition and force an immediate General Election.  Then it would be curtains for the EU membership and not before time too!

Finally a party for the people. I notice all the main parties stopped calling UKIP a racist party! They stopped because it made UKIP more popular; not because so many people are racist but because people recognised that addressing the huge problems of Britain being swamped by mass immigration does not make the party racist!

Let's hope they become mainstream and not just a protest vote! Worse case scenario is the Conservatives and UKIP split the eurosceptic vote and let in that god awful Milliband as PM

I don't wanna be cruel to old Cleggy, but I think the best thing for the Lib Dems now would be for him to step down, he took on Nigel Farage in the TV debates, made a complete mug of himself  & got crucifed twice & now for a third time with this election result.

Clegg should fall on his sword & let Vince Cable, who I believe would do a much better job, ave a go.

He couldn't do any worse now could he.

I'm dis-illusioned with all parties at the moment. Clegg has backed out and backed down on so many things that he is to me unreliable with anything he says in the future and he should step down.

And my tax bill has risen so much that I can't say anything nice about Cameron.

I think the sooner we get out of that slush fund called the EU the better.  And add to that an Australian type visa system at all our international points of entry.

That was so embarrassing when EM was asked about the cost of living.  £70 - £80 pw in London for 2 x adults and 2 x children. He stumbled and mumbled and looked a complete idiot.

It's not just the UK that's registered a massive anti-EU/immigration vote! Marine LePenn's far-right National Front party won in France. As did the similar Danish Peoples Party!
