Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Nigel Farage refers to the president of the EU, Herman Van Rompuy, as a damp rag:

Farage will either drink, drag or dalliance himself to death before the unlikely event of anyone ever seeing him walk through the door of no.10!
It's one of them cases, in'it... one of them f*ckin' cases.

I can totally understand why people vote for UKIP, the main parties are totally discredited and who wants to vote for the status quo? At least people who vote UKIP can legitimately say they are choosing something different.

Farage is a good public face for the party but can anyone name anyone else in the party who isn't a complete lunatic, homophobe or racist? This is important because god forbid if UKIP were to get enough MPs to form part of a coalition government these people would be government ministers!

I can't help feeling that the race issue is playing into UKIP's hands. I think it's a handy smokescreen for their intentions to remove employment rights and dismantle the NHS. I doubt if half the people who voted for UKIP would have done so if they knew about their agenda on employment rights and the NHS.

I don't think anyone can be certain about what would happen if we left the EU, but there is a school of thought that says lots of multinational companies would leave the UK if that were the case causing massive unemployment. Is it really worth leaving the EU if it means the economy would be far weaker than it is now? Like or loathe the EU (I particularly loathe the corruption and lack of accountability but this could be reformed) there are economic benefits to being part of a larger trading bloc rather than a small economy trying to compete with much larger ones. Farage and co could potentially be proved right about leaving the EU. But what a costly mistake if they are proved to be wrong.

The UKIP factor is already having positive effects. Terresa may has rid Britain of hate preachers and they are clamping down on extremism in schools. Just today the government announced all schools must promote 'British values' .... whatever that means!

Milliband has ruined Labours chances of getting elected by ignoring the EU referendum the country blatantly wants. And the Tories will have to keep their promise this time to have an in/out vote .... personally I will vote out! The Euro zone has teetered on the brink of disaster for years. Europe at 27 countries is a melting pot of haves and have nots and whilst great for Romania etc. it is a disaster for western Europe imho.

I don't think UKIP will turn into a major party but their effect is and will be felt far and wide. Nigel Farrage is a brave man and someone the country needed ...... I would love to see him gain real power; perhaps the next Deputy PM!

I think the general public is ill informed to make a decision about whether to opt in or out (well I certainly am). I would like to see a cost-benefit analysis produced by the audit commission and sent to every home or made publicly available.

Some argue that the EU has brought about almost 70 years of peace.  It is impossible to say really.  If it has how do you factor something like this into a cost-benefit analysis  >@@(*&)

I know from working in financial services that the burden of implementing EU directives and regulations has been huge with seemingly little benefit, if any, to participating stakeholders.

I think UKIP is a force for good in that we get an alternative view and in some respects it is capable of holding the main parties to account by opening up debates.  That can surely only be a good thing.  It is extremely unlikely that UKIP will turn into a major party anytime soon meanwhile they can keep the others on their toes.

Michael Gove could hardly reiterate David Cameron's recent claim that the UK is a Christian country and Christian values must be promoted in schools  @)(++(* That might be seen as a bit incendiary  @)(++(*

Personally I would like to see faith schools abolished with the national curriculum covering all the main religions equally as part of history/cultural studies/science: creation v evolution.

There is no doubt the EU has cost the UK, France and particularly Germany untold billions as by far the largest net contributors to the EU. In return we have benefitted from the world's largest open market. But who says we couldn't have had complete access to those markets through trade agreements?

I believe the Cold War with the old Soviet Union rather than the EU kept Europe relatively at peace after WW2; common enemy and all that. After the wall came down the USA started wars in the middle east to keep up their huge military spending with associated profits for the powerful few. We (USA/UK) would be bombing the crap out of Syria now if Putin hadn't put a stop to that!

We are the only nation in Europe who hasn't had a referendum on the treaties expanding Europe's centralisation of powers since we joined. And what we joined was a 6 country Common Market not a huge monolithic federal state!

Personally I think Britain would be a far better place now had we never joined that trading market in the first place!

Nuke 'em I say.

Have you seen what ISIS are up to right now in Iraq & Syria, beheading non-believers in their homes or gunning them down in the street, all in the name of Allah.

Iraq is f..ked & will be an Islamic Extremist state within the next few years.

Isis have just captured Iraqs second biggest city.

Warning,

If you are sensitve to images of beheadings & executions in the name of Allah, I reccomend you don't watch this....

That IS my point Spammy; the USA/UK wanted to bomb Assad's regime; the people who are fighting the groups that have now got together to form ISIS! Unbelievably we would have been on the side of those sick feckers who daily carry out the worst atrocities imaginable!

Many people not of their tribe of muslims or christians walk around with hand grenades now so if they get caught by those animals they can blow themselves up rather than suffer unimaginable torture and beheading! Thankfully Hezbollah has joined the fight from the Lebanon or Assad would be losing the civil war.

Because Assad/Hezbollah started winning in Syria, the Sharia Law evil fanatics have now attacked Iraq. Hopefully the Kurds there and the Iraqi regime will wipe them out! The irony of all ironies is what Iraq needs now is Saddam Hussein back to crush them!

Don't get me wrong, Assad & Hezbollah are no boy scouts and have committed untold atrocities themselves but they are nothing compared to those animals now calling themselves ISISI!

Great to see UKIP doing so welll! This is going to have to be cleverly played though because UKIP could split the right vote and let the truly odious Milliband and Ed Balls into power. Labour will not hold  a referendum on Europe  nor kick out the ECHR!

I see a Tory/UKIP coalition!

If things play out the way I believe they will it will indeed be a case of vote UKIP and get Labour but a Labour/UKIP coalition and the LibDems will be decimated.
