"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Wasn't one of the creches close to the Millennium restaurant?
If that were the case, they would have to walk that way at some point, so why not for breakfast?

Madeleine short cut path route from 5A to crèche. The path passes both lamp posts.

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

If these dogs were mimicking Madeleine's trips to the creche why none of them actually went to the creche?

IMO this was her last known path. She was put in a car there!

Because the car park is a big open space. If they stayed on the path further up they may have followed her scent to the crèche.

No they had breakfast at 5A as the Millennium was too far away after going once on the day they arrived SAT.

"The head of the restaurant, Luis Barros, contactable on mobile xxx, clarified that the group of whom the missing child and her parents were part, comprising eight adults and nine children, ate in that restaurant on the day they arrived, namely 28.04.2007"

Well a lady that received guests at the entrance of the Millenium, Cecilia Paula Dias Firmino do Carmo, stated that:

When asked, she says that she knows the parents, the siblings and Madeleine. She received them for breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, she does not know whether they went for breakfast on Sunday or Monday, as these were her days off.

So it is quite possible that not only Maddie was walking this route every single day, but also Amelie.

No, her last journey for me is when she was taken from the apartment.

Yes that statement contradicts all others.

Agreed. I was meaning her last journey to the apartment.

If she were carried, detecting her scent might have been difficult, though not impossible.

Her last journey was from the tapas area following the path around to the front key door arriving at 5:40. One dog went across the road from the car park to the tapas entrance but it was shut.

"There, he crossed the street and next to the wall of block 6, turned right, and headed toward the contiguous parking area. More concretely, he headed next to a light post and sniffed the ground around that post. After this, he crossed the street again and headed toward the access zone to the restaurants and pool area, sniffing the door which was closed at that time. He again went to the parking zone, and at that point, lost the scent."

The most significant is that all dogs went to the lamp post and to the parking area. None of them never continued towards creche and the first dogs did it less then 24 hour after her disappearance.

So why exactly they stopped there it was never investigated! The police was searching some extremely bizarre events and calls but never this very significant clue!

To me this indicates that she even might have been walking on this route and was taken into a car.

Or she could have been in a pushchair and her feet touching the ground..

IMO your map does not show the exact shortcut route used by the parents to take her to/from creche.

By simply referring to the 6th Sept statement of an honest witness, the correct path is found:
"via a path in front of the small reception and then through a garden area and stairs"
Click map to enlarge. Yellow line is the route which fits the statement, dashed yellow line is a possible variation.

Thanks Pegasus. That is not my picture of the short cut. Actually the main point is that the dogs would've found Madeleine's scent at the lamp post because it was on the short cut path route to the crèche whichever way they used to get there it was still a short cut. Losing the scent at the car park is not surprising in a big open space.
