I think The complex did have safeguards and their customers health and safety would have sufficient, other wise why would Doctors take risks with their children.
And this is something to think about: everyone in the NHS, especially DOCTORS, must risk assess, their staff training needs, equipment, their working environment and patients risks before treatments.
Those parents chose to leave the children alone at night-even when Little Maddie mentioned (allegedly) that she and her brother had woke up and no one was there.
I honestly-when I read that had tears in my eyes. Their daughter was afraid, not only for her self but for her little brother- this is a 3 year old!- if she did wander outside she couldn't ask for help as she didn't speak the language or wasn't familiar with her surroundings. Think back to when you were her age... Monsters in the wardrope-
...but still they left the children alone. And father Gerry gave a curious mention about 'feeling' someone was in the room. Did he walk in and challenge-go get help- no he walked out and left them with out so much as a second glance.
I do not believe Warner company played any part in that scenario, and couldn't be held responsible for little Maddie's disappearance.
BRILIANT post.
The apartment was privately owned with the use of the Warner Complex.
I cannot in all my life believe ANYONE would leave 3 children alone in an APARTMENT close to roads and swimming pool and STEEP steps.
No i dont think Warner Complex did anything wrong.
The family chose to leave their children. The Warner Complex in PDL did NOT ADVOCATE a listening service, surely the mere fact they CHOSE not to allow a listening service but offer A NIGHT CRECHE instead would give the holidaymakers a hint that the area was NOT SUITABLE for a listening service.
What gets my gall is the night creche was right there close by.
IF the families wanted to enjoy themselves without kids thats fine nothing wrong with that, but they could have either taken it in turns and had a meal sent in and sat outside on the balcony and slept the kids in one room for a few hours, or got 1 babysitter to have the children in one apartment or take the children to the creche, or take them for dinner.
I cannot understand why they bothered taking the children as it was creche nearly all day, and in the evening parents time.
Why not leave the kids at home with family and just have a week without them for a rest, I can understand that, doctors do work hard and need a break.
The evening schedule if followed every night like the 3rd was more likely to give anyone an ulcer lol and what was the point.
ALTHOUGH I dont think prior to the 3rd they did much checking to be honest even the waiters apparently said that in statements.
