Listening service is present in almost any luxury holiday resort in the world which British people visit.
But there O'Brien explained the idea and why they did it.
I was just pointing out that 2006 holiday of 3 of these families together to Greece was to a non-MW resort.
I gave the sources: the rogatory interviews of two people who were actually on that trip.
It is perfectly acceptable, nothing wrong with it at all, the witnesses are honest.

Why is that important, that the 2006 resort wasn't the Mark Warner one?

...1000s of parents left their children sleeping alone in their rooms in Mark Warner resorts all over the world and Mark Warner staff would go round ( same as the Tapas group did) and would 'listen' to these left alone children.
Do you know what was the checking interval of the listening service at those MW resorts?
How many minutes exactly? Here is one estimate:

Reply: "...we were offering exactly the same as what Mark Warner did and the rest of their resorts but we were just applying it to Portugal where they didn’t offer that service…”
1485    ”Yeah, and over what frequency did you understand that they would have done the listening service?”
Reply    ”I mean in, at the other resorts that we’ve been to I believe they do it every thirty minutes you know as I say we actually haven’t used that service when we’ve been but you know the friends who have they’ve, they’ve said it’s around thirty minutes.

Here are accounts of the checking interval by two people who actually used the listening service at an mw resort:

"The staff walk around the rooms every 15 mins and listen at the door, if your child is making a noise they stay at the door and radio through to the control Nanny - who sends someone to find you. We were called twice, and both times they had obviously heard him as soon as he woke up, as by the time we got to him he hadn't really noticed that we weren't in the room."

"Baby listening service worked well, they really do check your door every 15 mins, and come and get you from dinner/bar."

Oh now we are talking in minutes.

The bottom line: OC is an open resort. PDL was struck with crime, break ins and attacks on children. Mark Warner kept this secret from their guests. Just because they can then call the resort luxury and keep the prices high.

Precisely. 15 minutes was the checking interval of the professional listening service at mw resorts.
"they really do check your door every 15 mins" (see link above)

I have already shown that the MW listening service in Lemnos had a 15 minute checking interval (not 30 minutes).
Also that the 2006 shared 3-couple holiday to Greece was not to an MW resort at all (proof in 2 rogs linked above).
If no-one is disputing that, then yes let's discuss your other allegation, re burglary etc risk.

The holiday Company who placed the tapas group in block 5 of the Ocean Club Gardens complex was Mark Warner Holidays.  They had a duty of care towards their guests which by all counts they failed to deliver in respect of Madeleine McCann.

Information gleamed since Madeline's disappearance confirms that there were was a history of burglaries and attempted break-ins at the complex which Mark Warner management were aware of yet apparently saw fit to inform their guests or provide appropriate security after dark.

I am afraid you are totally misinformed both by NSY and by the UK Media. There were no burglaries REPORTED in those apartments.
Portraying that village as a place of every type of villanies is nothing but an attempt to excuse the inexcusable behaviour of the McCann making their daughter disappear and obstructing the portuguese search for her and for the truth.

So Mrs. Fenn was lying?

At most only one of the couples had ever actually themselves used an MW listening service anywhere.

Where MW Lemnos is specifically mentioned in the files that trip was actually 2005 and one couple only and they observed but didn't use the listening service.

San Agostino (sp?) was the MW Greek resort

It does get a little difficult splitting MW and OC. I actually they BOTH had a duty of care.
.
Certainly Silvia Batista will say there was a book with a list of incidences but that book was not on display for all to see. If you are a MW guest you tend to visit the 24 hour reception less than other guests in my experience.

Do not forget that a guest (Amanda Mills) reported to OC 24 hour reception that a man had attempted to steal a buggy without even checking if their was a child in it!  OC did nothing with that information. Im not even sure if they even let MW staff know of the incident.

Leaving the children unattended is never safe, no matter the rate of criminality. The McCanns as the doctors should be very much aware of it, as such children very often end up in the hospital.
Yep, sure accidents can happen and they certainly made a mistake. A mistake that 1000s of other parents also made. I would hazard a guess that at least 20% of all MW guests there were doing the same thing. You see other MW resorts have the listening service where the Nannies walk around listening and then send a message to the restaurant to say a child is crying. In San Agostino, some of the rooms were over 1000 metres away. They may well claim its safer as its an enclosed resort but the gates were open and anyone could walk in so that not quite the case really.  Health & safety would assess it as safer not realising those gates are open and unmanned. There is also access directly from the beach which obviously they cannot secure. They don't enter they get the parents. So in fact the McCanns were doing very similar but in fact their checks were slightly better with regard to entering and checking the kids...bar one of their friends.

Health and safety may well claim that San Agostino would have been

There were burglaries reported to OC. I believe Silvia batista confirmed that in a radio interview. There was also a stabbing on the beach. One of the residents also stated that holidaymakers were generally targeted towards the end of the week that way they were less likely to report it to  the police due to the hassle

Whatever happened, they weren't doing the best for their children.

" Mark Warner Holidays had a duty of care towards their guests"

and Mark Warner, Ocean Club and PJ weren't doing the best for their guests and Madeleine were they?

That was the question posed on this thread. I think its clear they did have a duty of care and failed
