The rogatory letters were quoted in the Portuguese newspapers.

Quoted? Are you sure about that?

Yep, the papers gave the so-called evidence SY put in the rogatory letters and it is obvious that this "evidence" came from the McCanns' PIs. SY also wanted to obtain DNA and fingerprints illegally but PJ put their foot down.

In any case, the Judge hasn't laughed at the Met's request to interview multiple witnesses and suspects, or to carry out various searches. It's clear from the scale of the operation the Met are carrying out in Portugal that Portuguese authorities are taking the requests very seriously indeed.

The 'sources' who are trying to downplay the Met's activity in the Portuguese media appear to be a small number of very bitter ex-officials (that crackpot who used to be in government for one, and I've no doubt Amaral's fingerprints are to be found somewhere behind CdM's stories).

The truth is, this is a large scale investigation by the Met that simply would not be happening without both cooperation and permission on Portugal's part. There have been no information released by either the Met or the PJ via official channels - any leaks are more than likely coming from people either on the periphery, or who are simply making things up.

You said they 'quoted' the rogatory letters. Are you sure about that? They were 'quoted'? If so - where?

I've heard on the grapevine that SY want to use sniffer dogs in a shop.

However, we already know dogs are useless, aren't they GERRY and KATE ?

I've seen some stupid things in my time but this is taking the biscuit.

So dave, how many people have been in the shop already, eh ?

...and contaminated the scene.

and of course dogs do work, but not when the mccanns are involved, is that it ?

From what has been leaked to the press it seems that they uncovered absolutely nothing!
