The ilors to interview the suspects were initially refused but SY persevered and they were granted...AFAIAC... the ilors for dna and fingerprints have not been considered yet

You are assuming they were rejected....may not have even applied for them at the point but feel they need tehm after the interviews.

Who said they tried to obtain by stealth...more assumption......pj would no doubt have the power to take dna and fingerprints if they wished...
