R.I.P. Bamber's victims
« on: August 07, 2014, 01:11:54 AM »
29 years ago today (7th Aug) Jeremy Bamber murdered his entire immediate family purely for money and the freedom to be a playboy.

It would be really nice to see the victims memory respected along with the remaining relatives for once by Bamber's crank fan club .... Wishful thinking I know but maybe the Bamberettes will open their eyes to Bamber's proven guilt one day and let all the victims rest in peace!

Here's to Neville, June, Sheila, Nicholas and Daniel. R.I.P.

Well said, Tim.

Just think, Nicholas and Daniel would have been 35 now and maybe with children of their own.  So sad.

RIP

And Sheila would have had grandchildren. I never thought that my favourite word would be "Nanny."

I thought your favourite word was barcadi!

I wonder if Bamber ever feels guilty for what he did? My guess is he just feels sick that he didn't dump the silencer in the marshes and wish he hadn't made up the phone call from his dad and told Julie he had murdered them all. He would be a free, wealth man today without those mistakes.

I don't think psychopaths feel real guilt or remorse but your right Tim he must have some real regrets about that night.

To that list I would add, having to shoot Sheila twice. The expression on his smug face must have been priceless....

R.I.P to all 5 victims.

I will second that Tim.  An anniversary well worth remembering for all the wrong reasons.

Background

On the morning of the 7th August 1985, Jeremy Bamber entered his parents farmhouse via an unsecure ground floor window before arming himself with a .22 calibre rifle which he claims to have left out the previous evening.  He then proceeded to murder his adoptive parents June and Nevill Bamber, his twin nephews Daniel and Nicholas and their mother, his adoptive sister, Sheila Caffell.  On the death of all five family members Jeremy Bamber stood to receive a substantial inheritance.

On the 28th October 1986, following a 19-day trial, Jeremy Bamber was found guilty by a majority of ten to two. The judge told him he was "evil, almost beyond belief" and sentenced him to five life terms, with a recommendation that he serve at least 25 years. This tariff was subsequently changed to a whole life term by the Home Secretary.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

What has always puzzled me is.....if Ralph said "come quick...your sister has gone crazy with a gun...."

Why did Bamber leaf through the local phone book, and call the poilce?

Ralph didn't ask for the police. He wanted Bamber to come to the farm. Come quick.

But, of course, if it was real life, Ralph would have said "keep away, don't come near, call for help. Your sister has gone crazy. Get help. "

If it had been real life Neville would have seized the gun off Sheila very quickly, even if she had got a shot or two off! Neville wouldn't have phoned Jeremy for help in a million years!

It would be poetic justice if Bamber admitted his guilt! All these Bamberettes who have literally wasted decades trying to free their hero would be mortified!

Water-board Bamber until he admits the truth in detail I say!

I have always thought that too Tim.  Nevill would have acted immediately and only phoned Jeremy (if at all) after he had control.

The thing is, there was no history of Sheila acting up at the farmhouse on any previous occasion.
