Then you seem to be at odds with SY who seem to have indications that Madeleine may indeed have perished in 5a.
No forensic evidence at all Faith.

SY are just going thru the motions as they must do.

Nothing to show that Madeleine died in 5A.  Nothing at all except overly suspicious minds.... or minds that have an agenda to hide the perpetrator and any others behind him.

We all know that Madeleine may have died somewhere in PdL, but there is enough evidence around that she almost certainly lived ... much I cant share.  Sorry.

You have no evidence that Madeleine is alive sadie. You have theories that you have based on cobbled together snippets of information from the internet and a large dose of wishful thinking.

Of course it is your prerogative to believe your theories carry some kind of weight but I'm afraid in the real world they don't.

IMO no doubt emanating from information gleaned from the parents of all those UK children assaulted in their beds by the same man whilst on holiday in Portugal.    There may well be something in his MO which has caused them to believe that Madeleine may have been killed, either purposely or by accident, if he was the perpetrator.   If, for instance, he always put his hand over his victims mouths - that could result in death by suffocation.

Anyone hoping that SY's belief (that it is possible that Madeleine may have died in 5A) is connected to her parents, is deluding themselves IMO.

Benice what do you think SY are basing that belief on ?  Could it be the cadaver dog alerts perhaps ?

I have no issues nor am I at odds with the NSY investigation into what may have happened to Madeleine McCann; NSY are conducting a professional inquiry into her case I am sure they will rule nothing in nor out without corroborating evidence.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

As I said before - I believe they are basing it on the information from the UK parents - particularly on the MO of the person who assaulted their children.  Especially if there was a common denominator.

I don't know what SY think about the dogs alerts.     Except to say the alerts haven't prevented them from ruling out the McCanns and their friends from the enquiry.

One can only speculate, but IMO it is likely that with there being so many different reasons why Eddie would alert - which do not involve a cadaver being in 5A - coupled with other reasons,  -   such as timelines which don't fit in with the time required for cadaver contamination to be present etc. etc.   they may have dismissed the possibility that Eddies alerts could have related to Madeleine.

IMO if Madeleine did die in 5A -  I think SY would believe she was removed very quickly - mainly to remove DNA evidence from the scene.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

Of course you are at odds. You posted that there is no evidence that Madeleine is dead, SY seem to feel otherwise.

The MO of the individual who allegedly assaulted those children did not include killing and abducting their bodies. As far as I am aware every one of those victims are very much alive therefore that can't be it.

Do not presume to tell me with whom I am at odds ~ I know that all too well and NSY certainly does not come into that category; and if you can show me what your evidence is that 'SY seem to feel otherwise' perhaps there can be debate rather than unsubstantiated opinion being posted which will no doubt become the fact of the matter in due time.

Didn't Redwood say 18 months ago that there was no evidence that Madeleine is dead?  Whatever evidence may have come to light subsequently to make him now consider it a possibility it obviously wasn't the dog alerts as he knew about them at the time of his first statement on the matter.

I wonder how Amaral's plans to counter-sue the McCanns are shaping up?

As a result of the CW appeal they certainly have had more information from UK parents and the older victims who perhaps did not confide in anyone at the time of the offences.
I believe it is in the nature of offenders to escalate the wrongdoing the longer they are able to get away with it.
NSY will have collated and looked very closely at what was probably entirely new information.

At the time I was intigued by the DCI's statement not to assume that because something had been reported to the police to assume that Operation Grange knew about it and to phone in again.
I wonder if that could have been in relation to these assaults.

You said there was no evidence Madeleine is dead. SY say their thinking now is that Madeleine may have died in the apartment. Even you must see the disparity in those two statements.

There is no disparity.  SY acknowledge it may be a possibility, it doesn't mean they have solid evidence.  Like, for example in Yorkshire the police are certain Claudia Lawrence is dead, though they have not one shred of evidence that she is.  See how it works?

It would be more precise to say there is no conclusive evidence maddie is dead
