I agree John. The SS will now start snooping and make this poor family's life hell.
I can't condemn these people for what they have done, his father said on the YouTube video that Ashya was smiling a lot more and moving around more than he did in hospital. The Police also said that he shows NO signs of distress.

I bloody bet he is distressed now being looked after by strangers who don't even speak English. Those parents are bound to be at their wits end being held in disgusting cells with drug addicts and criminals.  Believe me, it is no picnic.

I just hope for their sake that they don't transport them to Madrid before extraditing them back to Blighty.  It's an awful experience.

The Police are deciding if the parents have committed a crime or not. They got permission from the hospital to take him off the premises, they can't have mentioned that they were going abroad. Still, hes their son.

I see that family and friends have started an appeal on Facebook.

Yet another case of the State thinking it has more rights than the parents. I find it quite disgusting that a Southampton Hosptal consultant threatened Ashya's parents with an Emergency Child Protection Order if they continued to question the radiation treatment which they were planning to use.

Well the reality is we are run by a bunch of Nazi policies, that has taken away all of our human rights, would it be much different under Hitler?

Maybe the hospital can prolong the little boys life?      The parents were denying him this.   If they want to stop procedures why didn't they go through the proper channels,  not just take him.

Looks like there is already a court order in place to stop the parents interfering in the boys treatment...hes had surgery which would have required blood which they no doubt forbade

IMO this is all about money. The parents probably researched the case well and know where to seek better treatment. They did not accept the cost cutting 'explanations' by the NHS consultants. The NHS fears that other people would follow the same route, i.e seek the treatment in Europe.

All about money. Fulstop.

Apparently the parents wanted to take him abroad for treatment.    Still,  just taking him like that I would have thought would have put a lot of stress on the little boy.

I hope they come to conclusion one way or another about his treatment,  looks as though the parents think he would be better off having the other treatment.

Don't know if the hospital can refuse what the parents want can they?
