John, please be sensible.  I'm really rather disappointed in you.  What you are suggesting is ludicrous.  You seem to be suggesting that Gerry and Matt should not have been searching anywhere, because Kate felt straight away that it was an abduction.  Is this what you are saying?  Do you actually think they were being unreasonable in hoping for a good outcome without involving police?

The evidence answers your question Alfred.  Kates first utterances were that Madeleine was gone, not that she had been abducted...very telling don't you think??

As you very well know it reveals that Madeleine was initially thought to have got out and wandered off.  The 'paedophiles have taken her' claim came later conveniently supported by an open window and shutter.

Remember Matt's check at 9.30?   No open window or shutter, not even a curtain out of place.

Reading some of Kate's maybe Gerry's blogs from the early days was really quite touching recently. Nearly dipped my opinion in favor of them being completely innocent. I think any talk of anything other then abduction and the psychology of this case becomes huge.

What kind of person(s) would cover this up? What kind of emotional problems would they have to have to do so? Then take into account the huge campaign they have mounted. Why would they write a letter to David Cameron begging for him to reopen the investigation?

Matt's check at 9.30 from the rogatory interviews he could not say for certain whether the windows/curtains/shutters were opened or closed. I believe he said when he recollected the check that it seemed brighter in the room then was usual...

hmmm. 2nd reason - did they really need to do this? Everything seemed to be going quiet. Why stir things up again? Does not your first reason then contradict the 2nd reason if they wished to divert attention? I assume you believe they may know something?

Kate only made a big fuss about the apartment being unlocked was on the night her daughter disappeared! Fenn heard Maddy crying for 90 minutes until 11:45pm so if the patio door was unlocked you'd think she'd try and get out on the Tuesday. Maddy not sleeping would be more of a concern for them.

I have thought about that.  Children tend to get more adventurous as time goes on.  Maybe she ddnt have the confidence to venture out on any previous night.  Remember also that Maddie had a rebellious streak evidenced again by her running off one day as soon as they had exited the apartment.

Conversations at the table are very suspicious before she disappeared. Her best friend Fiona didn't even know they had left the apartment unlocked at night until Kate told her about the crying episode. It all leads to one place and with the dog alerts I doubt SY are spending 10 million + just to find a dead child.
