Wouldn't Keela have alerted to the places where the plasters had lain ?

I'm afraid no matter how supporters try there is no getting around the fact that Eddie alerted in the bedroom, Keela didn't therefore the alert must have been for cadaver scent.

And no matter how many times sceptics try to claim that if only Eddie alerts that means a dead body must have been present - it will never make it true.     Ask Martin Grime.
The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

We're discussing whether anyone has ever turned up alive after a dog-alert.

Someone did.

Gerry McCann.

So did the twins if the little blue shorts and the red T-shirt belonged to one of them. And Kate, for that matter.

It doesn't make it true. It does however make it the most logical assumption.

Why, Faith? Why assume anything ,when there is absolutely, no proof?

No body has been found and although the handler in this case has said …….in paraphrase:-
The alert is indicative of cadaver scent ,but has no evidential, value without other corroborating, evidence.

There are many reasons why a dog may alert, when in fact there is no cadaver or cadaver scent in the vicinity.
This does not mean that the dog is not doing his job as efficiently as he was trained. Many things can cause the dog to be inaccurate in what is expected of him, but he can only indicate what he has been trained to find and can not be expected to differentiate between cross contamination and the other causes of false alerts by the dogs.

Therefore it is highly possible there has been  cases of a dog alerting when the missing person has been found alive, but why would we ever hear about it?

These dogs are only deployed when there is a strong possibility of the missing person being found dead, often in suspicious circumstances. We will then hear about the dogs alerts….if there were any, when the victim is found.

this is the sort of poor logic that has resulted in your beliefs being so wrong...

One of their family is missing. Eddie indicated that she's dead because he alerted to the family clothes and Keela didn't. And the Smiths saw a child matching her description in a deep sleep or dead.

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

What was it Kate McCann said in her book once upon a time? 'One coincidence, two coincidences – maybe they're still coincidences. Any more than that and it stops being coincidence.'

There are no coincidences because they all connect and one day you will eat your hat.

And zero evidence of the McCanns' involvement in anything nefarious; same for all their friends.
