And zero evidence of the McCanns' involvement in anything nefarious; same for all their friends.

They've never been properly investigated. Gaspar statements, refusing to answer questions, refusing to do a reconstruction, CATS file, PJ never receiving background information, financial statements etc.
Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.
